Google Gesture Search
Google Gesture Search was released on March 3, 2010 as a new application for the Android Eclair operating system (Android 2.0) and above, which enabled users to search their phone's contacts, bookmarks, applications and music simply by scribbling out letters with their finger. Release Gesture Search was based on the early research work and primarily developed by Yang Li, a Research Scientist at Google. At the time of its launch, the application was made available only to the elite devices such as the Google Nexus One & the Motorola Milestone and was regarded as an extension to Google's handwriting recognition programme, prominently available only in the US. Android Eclair
Android Eclair is a codename of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google, the fifth operating system for Android and the second major release of Android. Eclair spans the versions 2.0.x and 2.1. Unveiled on October 26, 2009, Android Eclair builds upon the significant changes made in Android 1.6 " Android Donut". Nexus One
The Nexus One (codenamed HTC Passion) is an Android smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC as Google's first Nexus smartphone. The Nexus became available on January 5, 2010, and features the ability to transcribe voice to text, an additional microphone for dynamic noise suppression, and voice guided turn-by-turn navigation to drivers. The Motorola Droid (GSM/UMTS version branded as Motorola Milestone) is a smartphone designed by Motorola, which runs on Google's Android operating system. It was released in late 2009 and was an important "comeback" product for Motorola. Features of the phone include Wi-Fi networking, a 5-megapixel low light capable digital camera, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, interchangeable battery, 3.7-inch 854×480 touchscreen display.
