Geographic Information Systems In Geospatial Intelligence
Geographic information system, Geographic information systems (GIS) play a constantly evolving role in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and United States national security. These technologies allow a user to efficiently manage, analyze, and produce geographic data and information, geospatial data, to combine GEOINT with other forms of intelligence analysis, intelligence collection, and to perform highly developed analysis and visual production of geospatial data. Ikonos
IKONOS was a commercial Earth observation satellite, and was the first to collect publicly available high-resolution imagery at 1- and 4-meter resolution.
