''Jab We Met'' () is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Dhilin Mehta under his banner Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor with Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon and Dara Singh in supporting roles. Primarily based in Mumbai, Bhatinda and Shimla, the film tells the story of Aditya Kashyap, a heartbroken businessman who boards a train, where he meets a talkative Punjabi girl, Geet Dhillon. While they miss their train, Geet and Aditya begin a journey together to her home and what follows is a love that changes them. The songs are composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. ''Jab We Met'' was released in the United Kingdom a day before its worldwide release on 25 October 2007. Imtiaz Ali (born 16 June 1971) is an Indian filmmaker. He is best known for writing and directing the romantic comedies '' Jab We Met'' (2007) and ' (2009), and the dramas '' Rockstar'' (2011), ''Highway'' (2014), '' Tamasha'' (2015), ''Jab Harry Met Sejal'' (2017), and '' Amar Singh Chamkila'' (2024). Early and personal life Imtiaz Ali was born in Jamshedpur and spent some of his early years in Patna. His father Mansoor Ali was a contractor who did irrigation job, and as a child he would sometimes accompany him, which gave Imtiaz a sense of what was going on in the innards of India. His uncle, through his mother, is Pakistani TV actor and director/producer Khalid Ahmed. He had his early education in St. Michael's High School, Patna and later in D.B.M.S. Saroj Khan
Saroj Khan fondly known as Masterji (born Nirmala Nagpal; 22 November 1948 – 3 July 2020) was an Indian dance choreographer in Hindi cinema. She was born in Bombay State (present day Maharashtra), India. She was best known for the dance form mujra and the first woman choreographer in Bollywood.
