Gadstrup 1808
Gadstrup is a railway town located on the Lille Syd railway between Roskilde and Køge, in Roskilde Municipality, some 20 km southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. History The name Gadstrup is first documented in 1176 as ''Gadstorp'' (1257 ''Garsthorp''). In 1568, prebend of Gadstrup, one of the six prebends associated with the cathedral chapter in Roskilde, owned six farms in Gadstrup as well as three in Ramsølille and one in Viby. Our Lady's Abbey also owned property in the village at this point. In 1682, Gadstrup consisted of 6 farms and one house. In 1808, it consisted of seven farms but in 1838 only of four farms, probably because some of the farms had moved out of the village. Gadstrup station opened on the 4. A prebendary is a member of the Roman Catholic or Anglican clergy, a form of canon with a role in the administration of a cathedral or collegiate church. When attending services, prebendaries sit in particular seats, usually at the back of the choir stalls, known as prebendal stalls. Roskilde Airport
Roskilde Airport , officially known as Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde ( da, Københavns Lufthavn, Roskilde, ), is located 4 nautical miles (7 km) southeast of Roskilde near the town Tune. It was opened in 1973 as the first of three planned relief airports around Copenhagen. These plans were shelved shortly after, and the two other relief airports never made it past the planning stage. The airport is owned and operated by Københavns Lufthavne A/S (Copenhagen Airports) which also operates Copenhagen's major airport at Kastrup. The airport had 25,053 passengers in 2003. Sydbanen
Sydbanen (meaning 'the South Track') is a government-owned railway in Denmark. Technically, the line connects Ringsted with Nykøbing Falster, from which it branches to Gedser and Rødbyhavn. In practice, Ringsted is not the terminal station, so the line is often said to continue to Copenhagen. The railway is part of the Vogelfluglinie from Copenhagen to Hamburg. On Sydbanen's southwestern end at Rødby, a Scandlines ferry line exists to the German coastal town of Puttgarden, from where the Lübeck–Puttgarden railway and Lübeck–Hamburg railway lead to Hamburg. The Fehmarn Belt Tunnel, to be completed in 2028, will replace the ferry service. From 2020 until 2028 trains go only to Nykøbing, with frequent closures due to rebuilding. Roskilde Abbey
Roskilde Abbey or Our Lady's Abbey, Roskilde (''Roskilde Kloster'' or ''Vor Frue Kloster''), was a nunnery dedicated to Saint Mary the Virgin. The abbey was located at Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. It was founded in the early 12th century for Benedictine nuns, but in 1177 became part of the Cistercian reform movement.
