Binaka Airport
Binaka Airport is a domestic airport serving Gunungsitoli, the largest city and economic center of Nias Island in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Although it primarily serves Gunungsitoli, the airport is located outside the city limits, in Gidö, Nias Regency, approximately 16 km (9.9 miles) from the city center. It is the only airport on the island and serves as the main point of entry to both Gunungsitoli and the wider Nias region. The airport offers regular flights to Medan, the provincial capital of North Sumatra, and also provides rural connections to destinations such as Parapat near Lake Toba and the Batu Islands. In the past, it also had direct flights to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Padang, the capital of West Sumatra, though these routes have since been discontinued. History The idea of building an airport in Nias was initiated by Dalihuku Mendröfa, commonly known as Dalimend, who was serving as both the regent of Nias and an active officer in the Indonesian ... The Good Night Show
''The Good Night Show'' is a defunct television programming block for preschoolers that aired on the Sprout channel (previously known as PBS Kids Sprout). It was designed to help preschoolers get ready for bedtime. The block featured recurring themes based on preschoolers' nightly routines, such as dreams, brushing teeth, and cleaning up before bed. One of Sprout's designers, Ward Jenkins, stated that "Sprout is PBS Kids' answer to Noggin." Prior to New Year's Eve 2007, Noggin did not offer preschool shows in the nighttime hours. So at the time, ''The Good Night Show'' allowed Sprout to capitalize on nighttime programming for preschoolers, setting itself apart from its competitor Noggin. The block aired daily from 6:00 pm to 3:00 am ET. It appeared on Sprout from the channel's launch on September 26, 2005, until March 31, 2017. Unlike the channel's other blocks, ''The Good Night Show'' was repeated twice over the course of each night. Throughout the block, viewers (referr ... N-acetylglucosamine-6-sulfatase
''N''-acetylglucosamine-6-sulfatase (EC 3.1.6.14, glucosamine (''N''-acetyl)-6-sulfatase, systematic name ''N''-acetyl-''D''-glucosamine-6-sulfate 6-sulfohydrolase) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the GNS gene. It is deficient in Sanfilippo Syndrome type IIId. It catalyses the hydrolysis of the 6-sulfate groups of the ''N''-acetyl-D-glucosamine 6-sulfate units of heparan sulfate and keratan sulfate Function ''N''-acetylglucosamine-6-sulfatase is a lysosomal enzyme found in all cells. It is involved in the catabolism of heparin, heparan sulphate, and keratan sulphate. Clinical significance Deficiency of this enzyme results in the accumulation of undergraded substrate and the lysosomal storage disorder mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID (Sanfilippo D syndrome). Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID is the least common of the four subtypes of Sanfilippo syndrome. Nomenclature The systematic name A systematic name is a name given in a systematic way to one unique g ... Guinea (coin)
The guinea (; commonly abbreviated gn., or gns. in plural) was a coin, minted in Great Britain between 1663 and 1814, that contained approximately one-quarter of an ounce of gold. The name came from the Guinea region in West Africa, from where much of the gold used to make the coins was sourced. It was the first English machine-struck gold coin, originally representing a value of 20 shillings in sterling specie, equal to one pound, but rises in the price of gold relative to silver caused the value of the guinea to increase, at times to as high as thirty shillings. From 1717 to 1816, its value was officially fixed at twenty-one shillings. In the Great Recoinage of 1816, the guinea was demonetised and replaced by the gold sovereign. Following the Great Recoinage, the word "guinea" was retained as a colloquial or specialised term, even though the coins were no longer in use; the term ''guinea'' also survived as a unit of account in some fields. Notable usages included professio ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Rectified Spirit
Rectified spirit, also known as neutral spirits, rectified alcohol or ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, is highly concentrated ethanol that has been purified by means of repeated distillation in a process called rectification. In some countries, denatured alcohol or denatured rectified spirit may commonly be available as "rectified spirit", because in some countries (though not necessarily the same) the retail sale of rectified alcohol in its non-denatured form is prohibited. The purity of rectified spirit has a practical limit of 97.2% ABV (95.6% by mass) when produced using conventional distillation processes, as a mixture of ethanol and water becomes a minimum-boiling azeotrope at this concentration. However, rectified spirit is typically distilled in continuous multi-column stills at 96–96.5% ABV and diluted as necessary. Ethanol is a commonly used medical alcohol''spiritus fortis'' is a medical term for ethanol solutions with 95% ABV. Neutral spirits can be produc ... GNU Name System
GNUnet is a software framework for decentralized, peer-to-peer networking and an official GNU package. The framework offers link encryption, peer discovery, resource allocation, communication over many transports (such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, WLAN and Bluetooth) and various basic peer-to-peer algorithms for routing, multicast and network size estimation. GNUnet's basic network topology is that of a mesh network. GNUnet includes a distributed hash table (DHT) which is a randomized variant of Kademlia that can still efficiently route in small-world networks. GNUnet offers a " F2F topology" option for restricting connections to only the users' trusted friends. The users' friends' own friends (and so on) can then indirectly exchange files with the users' computer, never using its IP address directly. GNUnet uses Uniform resource identifiers (not approved by IANA, although an application has been made). GNUnet URIs consist of two major parts: the module and the module spec ... GNS Theory
GNS theory is an informal field of study developed by Ron Edwards which attempts to create a unified theory of how role-playing games work. Focused on player behavior, in GNS theory participants in role-playing games organize their interactions around three categories of engagement: Gamism, Narrativism and Simulation. The theory focuses on player interaction rather than statistics, encompassing game design beyond role-playing games. Analysis centers on how player behavior fits the above parameters of engagement and how these preferences shape the content and direction of a game. GNS theory is used by game designers to dissect the elements which attract players to certain types of games. History GNS theory was inspired by the threefold model idea, from discussions on the rec.games.frp.advocacy group on Usenet in summer 1997. The Threefold Model defined drama, simulation and game as three paradigms of role-playing. The name "Threefold Model" was coined in a 1997 post by Mary Kuhner ... Green Nail Syndrome
Green nail syndrome is an infection that can develop in individuals whose hands are frequently submerged in water resulting in discolouration of the nails from shades of green to black. It may also occur as transverse green stripes that are ascribed to intermittent episodes of infection. It is usually caused by the bacteria ''Pseudomonas aeruginosa'' and is linked to hands being constantly moist or exposed to chemicals, or in individuals who have damaged or traumatised nails. There are several activities and nail injuries or conditions that are linked to higher risk of contracting the condition. Symptoms and signs Green nail syndrome (chloronychia or Goldman-Fox syndrome) is characterised by discolouration of the infected nail, inflammation of the skin around the nail known as paronychia, and an odour resembling fruit. The colour may range from light or blueish green or yellow-green to darker green or black. Nails may be separated from the nail bed (onycholysis) and may have gree ...
