Genevieve (french: link=no, Sainte Geneviève; la, Sancta Genovefa, Genoveva; 419/422 AD – 502/512 AD) is the patroness saint of Paris in the Catholic and Orthodox traditions. Her feast is on 3 January. Genevieve was born in Nanterre and moved to Paris (then known as Lutetia) after encountering Germanus of Auxerre and Lupus of Troyes and dedicated herself to a Christian life.McNamara, Halborg, and Whatley 18. Hans Walter Conrad Veidt (; 22 January 1893 – 3 April 1943) was a German film actor who attracted early attention for his roles in the films ''Different from the Others'' (1919), '' The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari'' (1920), and '' The Man Who Laughs'' (1928). After a successful career in German silent films, where he was one of the best-paid stars of UFA, he and his new Jewish wife Ilona Prager left Germany in 1933 after the Nazis came to power. The couple settled in Britain, where he took British citizenship in 1939. He appeared in many British films, including '' The Thief of Bagdad'' (1940), before emigrating to the United States around 1941, which led to his being cast in what may be his best remembered role as Major Strasser in '' Casablanca'' (1942). This was Veidt's last film role to be released during his lifetime. Jacques Robert (1890–1928) was a Swiss silent actor and film director in the 1910s and 1920s. Early life Jacques Robert was born in 1890. Career Robert started his career as a silent actor by acting in the Count of Monte Cristo film serials directed by Henri Pouctal in the 1910s. He went on to act in films by pioneer directors like Charles Burguet, Gérard Bourgeois, Henri Pouctal, René Leprince, and Léon Poirier, up until 1921. He went on to direct six silent films.
