Fred Stevens was a British former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. His best season was in 1965 when he finished the year in fourth place in the 500cc world championship. Frederic George Stephens
Frederic George Stephens (10 October 1827 – 9 March 1907) was a British art critic, and one of the two 'non-artistic' members of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Life Stephens was born to Septimus Stephens of Aberdeen and Ann (née Cook) in Walworth, London and grew up in nearby Lambeth. Because of an accident in 1837, he was physically disabled and was educated privately. He later attended University College School, London. In 1844 he entered the Royal Academy Schools where he first met John Everett Millais and William Holman Hunt. He joined their Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848, often modelling for them in pictures including Millais's '' Ferdinand Lured by Ariel'' (1849) and Ford Madox Brown's ''Jesus Washing Peter's Feet'' (1852–1856; Tate, London). There is a pencil portrait of Stephens by Millais dated 1853 in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. Frederick William Stevens
Frederick William Stevens (11 November 1847 – 5 March 1900) was an English architectural engineer who worked for the British colonial government in India. Stevens' most notable design was the railway station Victoria Terminus in Bombay (in 1996, it was renamed the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai). Stevens also designed the Municipal Corporation Building, Mumbai the Royal Alfred Sailor's Home, the Army and Navy Building at Kala Ghoda, the Post-Office Mews at Apollo Bunder, the head offices of the BB&CI Railway at Churchgate, and the Oriental Life Assurance Offices at the Flora Fountain. He also designed the Rajmahal Palace at Mehsana. He died on 5 March 1900 following malaria and was buried in Sewri Christian Cemetery. Frederick Stephens (British Army Officer)
Brigadier Frederick Stephens (19 June 1906 − 9 November 1967) was a British Army officer of the Second World War. Military career Stephens was the only son of Sir Reginald Byng Stephens and Eleanore Dorothea Cripps. He was educated at Winchester College and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He commissioned into his father's regiment, the Rifle Brigade, on 3 September 1925. Between 1926 and 1931 he served with the regiment in India, before a secondment with the King's African Rifles in British Somaliland until September 1936. He was promoted to captain in 1937 and became Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General of the 1st Armoured Division in 1939. He served with the division in the Battle of France and North Africa until July 1942, when he was made Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion, The Rifle Brigade. In October 1942 Stephens was promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel and on 31 December 1942 he was invested as a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order. From August 1943 t ... Frederick Stephens (cricketer)
Frederick Stephens (4 February 1836 — 1 April 1909) was an English first-class cricketer and British Army officer. The son of John Stephens, he was born at Caversham in February 1836. He was educated at Winchester College, before matriculating to Pembroke College, Oxford. After graduating from Oxford, Stephens entered into the Life Guards as a cornet and sub-lieutenant by purchase in March 1861. He purchased the rank of lieutenant in the October of the same year, before purchasing the rank of captain in July 1864. Stephens played first-class cricket in 1865, making a single appearance for the Gentlemen of Marylebone Cricket Club against the Gentlemen of Kent at the Canterbury Cricket Week. Batting twice in the match, he made scores of 9 not out in the Gentlemen first innings, while in their second innings he was dismissed without scoring by William Jervis.
