For What It's Worth (game Show)
''For What It's Worth'' is an antiques game show that aired on BBC One from 4 January to 26 June 2016. It is hosted by Fern Britton. From the second series, it was recorded in front of an audience. Format The game starts with three pairs of contestants, each with a picker and a quizzer; in series one they saw an array of sixteen antiques, whereas in series two twelve are laid out, of which one is "worthless" (£10 or less) and one is worth £2,500. These values are worked out by the guest and an independent value based on auction price (without added costs). They are then examined by the contestants, and then arranged in a 4x4 grid. Round 1 Britton asks general knowledge questions. If a quizzer buzzes in correctly, they may pick a lot from the grid, but if they buzz wrongly, they are wallied. Paul Laidlaw
Paul Laidlaw is a Scottish auctioneer, known for his appearances on television game-shows related to antiques. Early life Laidlaw was born in Edinburgh, obtaining a degree in mathematics from the University of Edinburgh with a view to working for NASA. Career Laidlaw developed a career as an auctioneer, joining H&H Auction Rooms of Carlisle in 2002, and leaving in 2012 to set up his own auction house, Laidlaw Auctioneers and Valuers. In 2006 he was filmed for the BBC Television show ''Bargain Hunt'', conducting an auction. He was subsequently asked to screen test for the show, and now makes regular appearances as an expert advisor, where his role is to assist a team of two lay people in competition with another team, who aim to make the most money by buying antiques and collectables, then selling them at auction. Charlie Ross (antiques Expert)
Charlie Ross (born June 1950 in Buckinghamshire, England) is a British antiques expert, presenter and auctioneer, known for regular appearances on several BBC Antique programmes. Professional career Ross started his career in 1968 after leaving school joining a local firm of estate agents and found himself auctioning chickens and turkeys. He progressed from these to antique furniture, and later established his own auction house in Woburn near Milton Keynes. He stood down in February 2008. Ross appears on television as an antiques expert on the BBC programmes ''Bargain Hunt'', ''Flog It!'', ''Antiques Road Trip'' and '' Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is''. He is now one of the five regular presenters on ''Bargain Hunt''. Natasha Raskin Sharp (born 15 June 1986) is a Scottish television presenter, and antiques and art expert, especially in Scottish contemporary art, best known for her appearances on television. Anita Manning (born 1 December 1947) is a Scottish antiques expert and television personality from Glasgow. She is well known for her appearances since 2010 as an expert and presenter on the BBC's ''Bargain Hunt'', ''Flog It!'' and the ''Antiques Road Trip''.
