Flinders Peak
Flinders Peak () is a conspicuous triangular peak, high, on the west end of the Bristly Peaks. The peak overlooks Forster Ice Piedmont near the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. It was photographed from the air by the British Graham Land Expedition (February 1937) and the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (December 1947). Flinders Park is a western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Charles Sturt. History The suburb is named after explorer Matthew Flinders, with many of its streets bearing the names of famous explorers. Geography Flinders Park is bound by Grange Road to the north, the River Torrens to the south, Findon Rd to the west and Holbrooks Rd to the east. Demographics The 2021 Census by the Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 5,489 persons in Flinders Park on census night. Of these, 50.1% were male and 49.9% were female. The Flinders Street Viaduct is a railway bridge in Melbourne, Australia. Made up of six tracks of varying ages, it links Flinders Street station to Southern Cross station and forms the main link between the eastern and western parts of the Victorian rail network. The viaduct takes a twisted path, passing behind the former Victorian Railways headquarters at 67 Spencer Street, taking a sharp 90 degree turn east from Spencer Street, swinging southward around the back of the former Fish Market (now Northbank Place and Rebecca Walk) beside Batman Park, then north-east to avoid the swinging basin on the Yarra River, then crossing over the Banana Alley Vaults before entering Flinders Street. Flinders Street is a street in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Running roughly parallel to the Yarra River, Flinders Street forms the southern edge of the Hoddle Grid. It is exactly 1 mi (1.609 km) in length and one and a half chains (99 ft, 30 m) in width.
