Fiji Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments. They have won three Pacific Games gold medals, two Oceania Championships, a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics. They also compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cup Sevens. History Fiji won the gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Nouméa, New Caledonia. They qualified for the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Russia where they won the Bowl final. The Fijiana won the 2015 Oceania Women's Sevens in Auckland and qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Rusila Nagasau
Rusila Nagasau (born 4 August 1987) is a Fijian rugby union player. She plays rugby sevens for Fiji and was also a representative soccer player. She was included in the squad for the 2016 France Women's Sevens. Biography Nagasau was instrumental in Fiji qualifying for the 2016 Olympics when she scored four tries in the 2015 Oceania Women's Sevens Championship final against Samoa. She was named in the sevens squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics alongside cousin and captain Ana Maria Roqica. Nagasau represented Fiji at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She won a bronze medal at the event. Nagasau was a batonbearer for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay when the baton came to her island in February 2022. Oceania Women's Sevens Championship
The Oceania Rugby Women's Sevens Championship is the regional championship for women's international rugby sevens in Oceania. The tournament is held over two days, typically on a weekend. It is sanctioned and sponsored by Oceania Rugby, which is the rugby union governing body for the region. The rugby sevens at the 2022 Commonwealth Games – Women's tournament was the women's event of the Commonwealth Games rugby sevens competition held every four years. It was held at the Coventry Stadium from 29 to 31 July 2022. Venue The tournaments were originally scheduled to take place at Villa Park, but they instead took place at the Coventry Stadium in Coventry. The adjacent Coventry Arena will play host to judo and wrestling. The Great Britain national rugby sevens team is the women's Olympic representative team of Great Britain at the rugby sevens tournament at the Summer Olympic Games. The team played their first competitive match at the 2016 Summer Olympics after England finished in an Olympic qualifying place at the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series.
