A ''ferro'' (plural ''ferri'') or is an item of functional wrought-iron work on the façade of an Italian building. ''Ferri'' are a common feature of Medieval and Renaissance architecture in Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. Club Ferro Carril Oeste, known simply as Ferro Carril Oeste or familiarly, Ferro, is an Argentine sports club from the neighbourhood of Caballito, Buenos Aires. Ferro is a town and civil parish in the municipality of Covilhã, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 1,700, in an area of . Ferro is the Portuguese word for iron. Ferro Lad (Andrew Nolan) is a fictional character, a comic book superhero and member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th century of the . Francisco Reis Ferreira (born 26 March 1997), commonly known as Ferro, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Eredivisie club Vitesse, on loan from Benfica. Formed at Benfica, he made over 60 appearances for the club, winning the Primeira Liga in 2018–19.
