Feroze Gandhi College, is a college in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, established on 8 August 1960 by then local Member of Parliament Feroze Gandhi. It is associated with University of Lucknow. About Feroze Gandhi College is the main center for higher education in the Raebareli district. The college was established on 8 August 1960 by the then Member of Parliament Sri Feroze Gandhi. At present the college is providing education in four faculties namely "Science, Arts, Commerce & Education". There is also a proposal to declare it “A Deemed University”. Feroze Gandhi
Feroze Gandhi (born Feroze Jehangir Ghandy;: "Feroze Gandhi was also from the Nehrus' home town, Allahabad. A Parsi by faith, he at first spelt his surname 'Ghandy'. However, after he joined the national movement as a young man, he changed the spelling to bring it in line with that of Mahatma Gandhi." 12 September 1912 – 8 September 1960) was an Indian freedom fighter, politician and journalist. Gandhi published the newspapers ''The National Herald'' and '' The Navjivan''. Raebareli is a city in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Raebareli district and a part of Lucknow Division. The city is situated on the banks of the Sai river, southeast of Lucknow. It possesses many architectural features and sites, chief of which is a strong and spacious fort. As of 2011, Raebareli has a population of 191,316 people, in 35,197 households. Dinesh Pratap Singh (born 3 October 1967) is an Indian politician (with few criminal complains) and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2019, he was linked in a political rivalry after a deadly attack on young local female politician Aditi Singh. Akhilesh Kumar Singh
Akhilesh Kumar Singh (15 September 1959 – 20 August 2019) was an Indian politician. Akhilesh Singh was born on 15 September 1959. Singh was first elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1993 as an Indian National Congress candidate from Rae Bareli Sadar. Singh won reelection twice, in 1996 and 2002, while retaining his affiliation with Congress. Expelled from Congress prior to the 2007 election, Singh ran as a political independent and won a fourth legislative term. Singh contested the 2012 election after joining the Peace Party of India.
