Franz Konrad von Stadion und Thannhausen (1679–1757) was the Prince-Bishop of Bamberg from 1753 to 1757. Biography Franz Konrad von Stadion und Thannhausen was born in Arnstein on 29 August 1679. He became a canon of Bamberg Cathedral in 1695. He was sent to Rome and Angers to study. In 1709, the Archbishop of Mainz named him ambassador to the court of Saxony. He became a member of the cathedral chapter of Würzburg Cathedral in 1719. He was ordained as a priest on 2 February 1724. He became provost of Würzburg Cathedral in 1729. On 23 July 1753 he was appointed Prince-Bishop of Bamberg, with Pope Benedict XIV confirming the appointment on 26 September 1753. Franz Konrad Casimir Ignaz von Rodt, ( Meersburg, Lake Constance, 10 March 1706 - Meersburg, 16 October 1775) was an 18th-century German Cardinal. Biography His father was General and Breisach fortress commander Franz Christoph von Rodt (1671–1743). Von Rodt was elected Bishop of Constance in 1750, succeeding his maternal uncle, Kasimir Anton von Sickingen. Pope Benedict XIV created him a cardinal in the consistory of 5 April 1756. Franz Xaver Josef Conrad von Hötzendorf (after 1919 Franz Conrad; 11 November 1852 – 25 August 1925), sometimes anglicised as Hoetzendorf, was an Austrian general who played a central role in World War I. He served as '' K.u.k. Feldmarschall'' (field marshal) and Chief of the General Staff of the military of the Austro-Hungarian Army and Navy from 1906 to 1917. He was in charge during the July Crisis of 1914 that caused World War I. For years he had repeatedly called for preemptive war against Serbia to rescue the multiethnic Austro-Hungarian Empire, which was, he believed, nearing disintegration. Later on, he came to believe that the Dual Monarchy had taken action at the eleventh hour. The army was also unprepared and he had resorted to politics to further his goals. Franz Konrad (SS Officer)
Franz Konrad (1 March 1906, Liesing – 6 March 1952, Warsaw) was an Austrian mid-level commander in the SS of Nazi Germany who was an administrative official responsible for the ''Werteerfassung'' or "recording of valuables" in the Warsaw Ghetto. He earned the nickname "the King of the Warsaw Ghetto". In March 1952, Konrad was executed by hanging in Warsaw. Career Franz Konrad was a son of a miner. After school, Konrad obtained a business degree. He worked with various export firms as bookkeeper. In 1932, he soon "demonstrated his proclivity for criminal action when he was caught stealing money from his employer. Not only did he lose his job, but Konrad was prosecuted for theft and spent three months in prison. Out of jail and out of work, Konrad drifted for a few weeks until his former defense lawyer helped him join the (then) illegal Austrian SS (number 46,204) in January 1933".
