Francis Edward Watson (9 August 1860 – 27 October 1930) was a New Zealand cricketer and schoolteacher. The son of a clergyman, Watson was born on a ship in the bay at Saint Helena. He grew up in India before his family moved to Tasmania. He moved to New Zealand, where he worked as a schoolteacher, becoming headmaster of the Campbell Street School in Palmerston North. Francis Watson (born 29 September 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Watson grew up in the small East Kimberley community of Balgo, Western Australia. Watson started off at Claremont and played in the Colts WAFL premiership side in 2013. He made his West Australian Football League debut for Claremont in 2015, and played 19 senior games for Claremont over the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Due to his Indigenous background, the Fremantle Dockers sought permission to register him in the club's Next Generation Academy, but the application was rejected by the Australian Football League on the ground that he had not resided in the Kimberley during the relevant period. Francis Watson (theologian)
Francis Watson (born 1956) is an English theologian and New Testament scholar. He commenced his career at King's College London before being appointed to the Kirby Laing Chair of New Testament Exegesis at the University of Aberdeen in 1999. In 2007 he took up his current position as Professor in the Department of Theology and Religion at the Durham University. Watson is well known as a critic of the so-called New Perspective on Paul (NPP). His criticisms of the NPP are all the more significant as he received a positive endorsement of James D.G. Dunn (a NPP proponent) for his doctoral study. After the latter endorsement, Watson explored in particular the social-scientific work of Klaus Berger which contributed to Watson changing his mind dramatically about some results of his unpublished thesis. Francis Harold Watson aka Frank 'Zambezi' Watson (1854–1905) was a British traveller, hunter and trader. Francis "Buzz" Watson is a fictional character appearing in TNT's two shows, ''The Closer'' and '' Major Crimes'', and portrayed by Phillip P. Keene. He serves as a Civilian Service Coordinator, providing technical support to the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division. His duties include filming crime scenes, and he runs the audio and video systems in the interrogation room with what he states in Rusty Beck's video blog ''Identity'' are his own cameras. He later starts training as a Reserve Officer in season 3 of ''Major Crimes'' and has started to take up those duties as well in season 4.
