Aureliano Sánchez Arango
Aureliano Sánchez Arango (7 June 1907 – 23 April 1976) was a Cuban lawyer, politician and university professor. Sanchez served in the government of President Carlos Prio Socarras first as Minister of Education (1948–1951) and then as Foreign Minister (1951–1952). In August 1951, Eduardo Chibas accused Sanchez of stealing children's breakfast funds to build a housing project in Guatemala. When Chibas could not prove his accusations, he committed suicide on live radio. After Fulgencio Batista overthrew Prio, Sanchez was involved in various undergrown movements to overthrow Batista. He was originally granted asylum in Mexico in 1952, After returning to Cuba to plan an assassination attempt against Batista, he was granted refuge at the Uruguayan embassy. Ernesto Dihigo y López Trigo (23 January 1896 – 1991) was a prominent Cuban jurist, diplomat, and professor. He served as the Cuban Foreign Minister during the administration of the presidency of Carlos Prio Socarras (1950-1951). He served as the Cuban Ambassador to the United States from January 1959 until February 1961 after the regime of Fulgencio Batista was overthrown by Fidel Castro. Dihigo was a member of the Cuban Supreme Court in 1943 and served as a delegate to the United Nations. He served on the commission that wrote the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Dihigo's draft declaration was among the first considered when the U.N. Commission on Human Rights began work in 1946. Carlos Hevia
Carlos Aurelio Hevia y de los Reyes-Gavilan (March 21, 1900 – April 2, 1964) was the interim President of Cuba, serving for less than three days. During the third week of 1934, Hevia was President from 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, until 1:20 a.m. on Thursday, January 18. Cuban junta leader Fulgencio Batista had obtained the resignation of Hevia's predecessor, Ramón Grau. The choice of Hevia was unpopular with the military, and by Wednesday, the new President was asked to resign. He was replaced by Manuel Márquez Sterling. Alberto Inocente Álvarez Cabrera (December 28, 1906 – February 6, 1985) was a Cuban lawyer, diplomat, and politician. Alvarez graduated from the University of Havana School of Law in 1930 and then studied accounting at New York University. During the regime of Gerardo Machado, he was involved in the Directorio Estudantil and was imprisoned. He served in the Constitutional Assembly of 1940. Elected to the Cuban House of Representatives in 1940. Elected to the Cuban Senate in 1944. Appointed Minister of Commerce (1944–1945) and then Foreign Minister 1945–1948. In 1950 he was elected to the Senate for the province of Pinar del Rio, and became Majority Whip.
