Fazal-ur-Rehman (politician)
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman (born 19 June 1953) is a Pakistani politician and cleric who is the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). He was previously the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of political parties which ousted then Prime Minister of Pakistan, prime minister Imran Khan through a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, no-confidence motion in 2022. Fazal-ur-Rehman has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, National Assembly since February 2024 and previously served in that position between 1988 and 2018. He was also the Leader of the Opposition (Pakistan), Leader of the Opposition from 2004 to 2007. In the 1980s, he was part of the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD), which was formed to end the military coups in Pakistan, military regime of Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, General Zia-ul-Haq. Fazlur Rahman Babu (born 22 August 1960) is a Bangladeshi actor and singer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor a record five times for his roles in ''Shonkhonaad'' (2004), '' Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe'' (2017), '' Fagun Haway'' (2019), '' Bishwoshundori'' (2020) and '' Nonajoler Kabbo'' (2021). Fazlur Rahman Khan (1939–1971) was a Bangladeshi intellectual and geologist, who was killed in the Bangladesh Liberation war and is considered a martyr in Bangladesh. Early life Khan was born in Kajiati in Mohanganj Upazila, Netrokona on 2 March 1939. He graduated from Mohanganj High School in 1954 and Ananda Mohan College in 1956. He completed his BSc with honors in soil science from Dhaka University in 1960 and MSc in 1962. Career Khan joined Dhaka University in 1963 as a lecturer in soil science. Muhammad Fazlur Rahman Ansari (14 August 1914 – 3 June 1974) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and philosopher. He was the founder of the Aleemiyah Institute of Islamic Studies and Founder President of the World Federation of Islamic Missions. Fazal-ur-Rehman () is a retired Pakistani bureaucrat, who belonged to Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service and served in BPS-22 grade as Maritime Secretary of Pakistan, Chief Secretary Sindh and Chairman Trading Corporation of Pakistan.
