''It Was She Who Wanted It!'' (Italian: ''Era lei che lo voleva!'') is a 1953 Italian comedy film directed by Marino Girolami and starring Walter Chiari, Lucia Bosè and Carlo Campanini.Chiti, Poppi & Lancia p.140 The film's sets were designed by the art director Alberto Boccianti. It involves the emotional bickering between a psychiatrist and a rather brusque boxer. Plot After seeing the famous Dinamite boxer in a sports magazine, a girl has visions, seeing in every person she meets the face of the boxer. Her doctor manages to remind her of having met him in a fleeting and unpleasant occasion, but concludes that the visions are the result of her unconscious love for the boxer. Marino Girolami
Marino Girolami (1 February 1914 – 20 February 1994) was an Italian film director and actor. Biography Marino Giorlami was born on 1 February 1914 in Rome, Italy. Formally a Professional boxer, Girolami ended his boxing career when he was 20. Following this, he got a degree as a physical therapist and opened a gym which specialized in therapeutic massages. Girolami entered into Italy Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Among the people Girolami met was Anna Magnani who took her son Luca to meet him which led to close relationship between them. Girolami gave her the script he had been working on of ''Campo de'fiori'' which was passed on to Aldo Fabrizi. The story was re-written by Girolami and Federico Fellini and directed by Mario Bonnard, which led to Girolami working in film. He debuted as an actor in 1940, and became an assistant director for Mario Soldati, Marcello Marchesi, Vittorio Metz. Carlo Orlandi (23 April 1910 – 29 July 1983) was an Italian boxer who won a gold medal at the 1928 Olympics. In 1929 Orlandi turned professional. Tiberio Mitri (12 July 1926 in Trieste – 12 February 2001 in Rome) was an Italian boxer who fought from 1946 to 1957. During his career, Mitri was the Italian and European middleweight champion. Mitri's professional debut, was 1 August 1946, and over the span of his first four years of fighting, racked up an undefeated record of 50–0. During this period, he won the Italian middleweight crown by defeating Giovanni Manca (1948), then added the European title with a points win over Cyrille Dellannoit of Belgium. He first defended the European honors, by decisioning Jean Stock of France. It was on the strength of this resume, Mitri won the right to challenge for the world middleweight championship...though, perversely, he landed the opportunity, as a substitute for Rocky Graziano. Early life Vincenzo "Enzo" Fiermonte was born on 17 July 1908 in Casamassima, a rural village near Bari, in southern Italy to Donato and Lucrezia Fiermonte. Career From 1925 to 1934, he was a professional boxer, with a lifetime record of 47 wins (11 by knockout), 17 losses (10 by knockout), and 2 draws.
