Echo Park (1986 Film)
''Echo Park'' is a 1986 American comedy-drama film set in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The plot follows several aspiring actors, musicians and models. The cast includes Tom Hulce, Susan Dey, Cheech Marin and Michael Bowen. Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, has a brief cameo as a secretary. ''Echo Park'' was the final film of veteran actor Timothy Carey. Plot May, a single mom, wants to become an actress. Her next-door neighbor August, a bodybuilder, wants to become a worthy successor to his hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Robert Dornhelm
Robert Dornhelm (born 17 December 1947 in Temesvár, Romania) is an Austrian film and television director. Biography Dornhelm is of Jewish descent. He has worked on numerous television programmes and has also released such movies as '' Echo Park'', ''The Venice Project'', '' Der Unfisch'', and '' A Further Gesture''. In 1998 ''Der Unfisch'' won the Citizen's Choice Award at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. He directed the 1977 documentary film ''The Children of Theatre Street'', which was nominated for an Academy Award. Dornhelm directed the television miniseries '' Anne Frank: The Whole Story'' (2001), for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award. Heinrich Schweiger
Heinrich Schweiger (23 July 1931 – 14 July 2009) was an Austrian film and stage actor who played leading roles at the Burgtheater on the Ring beginning in 1949. Among the plays in which he starred were Schiller's ''Don Carlos'', Shakespeare's '' Othello'' and '' Richard III'' and Kurt Weill's ''The Threepenny Opera''. The actor's last roles were in ''Wallenstein'', Franz Lehár's '' Das Land des Lächelns'' and in an ORF TV series. Biography After studying at the Max Reinhardt Seminar, Schweiger debuted at the Burgtheater at the age of 18. His breakthrough role came at the age of 22 in Arthur Schnitzler's ''Komtesse Mizzi''.
