Cape Apostolos Andreas ( el, Ακρωτήριο Αποστόλου Ανδρέα, "Cape Saint Andrew"; tr, Zafer Burnu, "Cape Victory") is the north-easternmost point (promontory) of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus (). It lies at the tip of the finger-like Karpass Peninsula. The Apostolos Andreas Monastery is located 5 km southwest of the promontory itself. The city of Latakia in Syria is located about to the east. Cape Gata ( "cat cape", "falcon cape") is the south-eastern cape of the Akrotiri Peninsula on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. It is located within the British Sovereign Base Areas, and is the southernmost point of the island. A cape is a clothing accessory or a sleeveless outer garment which drapes the wearer's back, arms, and chest, and connects at the neck. Klidhes Islands
Kleides or Klides or Klidhes or Kleidhes ( grc, Κλεῖδες and Κληῖδες), meaning keys in Greek, is a group of small rocky uninhabited islands at the north of Cyprus. Some ancient writers called them the "edge of Cyprus" (ἄκρα τῆς Κύπρου). Strabo writes that the Kleides were two isles lying off Cyprus opposite the eastern parts of the island, which are seven hundred stadia distant from the Pyramos river. Pliny the Elder, writes that they were four islands. In reality the islets are six, but the three can considered more like rocks in the sea than islets. The islands are also mentioned by the Ptolemy in his work Geography, Herodotus in his work Histories and Hesychius of Alexandria in his lexicon. Limassol Salt Lake
Limassol Salt Lake (also known as Akrotiri Salt Lake) is the largest inland body of water on the island of Cyprus, in Akrotiri and Dhekelia, United Kingdom, an overseas territory. It lies due south-west of the sprawling city of Limassol and measures 10.65 km2. Its lowest point is 2.7 meters below sea level and at its deepest point the water depth measures about one meter. Geologists hypothesize the lake was formed over the gradual joining of an offshore islet off the southern coast of Cyprus. The lake itself is considered to be one of the eastern Mediterranean region’s most important wetlands. The shallowness of the lake (more than half of the lake is less than deep) attracts thousands of wading birds to use it as a stopover during the migration seasons between Africa and Europe.
