Édison David Bilbao Zárate (born 3 June 1987), known as Edison Bilbao, is a Chilean footballer who plays as a midfielder. Early life Born in Santiago, Chile, Bilbao moved to the United States at the age of eleven, making his home in Newark, New Jersey. Career As a youth player, Bilbao was with Colo-Colo in his homeland and New York MetroStars in the United States. In colo-Colo, he coincided with players such as Arturo Vidal, Felipe Flores and Juan Pablo Arenas. After stints with Newark Ironbound Express and New Jersey Ironmen, he moved outside the United States and has played for clubs in Russia, Portugal, Costa Rica, Malta and Chile. Gudja is a village in the Southern Region of Malta, with a population of 3,148 as of March 2017. The village is located on high grounds, south of Valletta. It is administered by the Gudja Local Council. A number of schools, clubs, public gardens and recreations places are found around the village. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. Francisco Bernardo Arriagada Mella (born 31 January 1994) is a Chilean footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Vittoriosa Stars. Career An attacking midfielder from the Huachipato youth system, Arriagada took part of Chile youth national teams from under-14 to under-17 level, coinciding with players such as Ángelo Henríquez, Igor Lichnovsky, Andrés Robles, among others. Juan Pablo Arenas Núñez (born 22 April 1987) is a Chilean former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for Colo-Colo and also played (on loan) in Deportes Melipilla. Club career Arenas made his professional debut with Colo-Colo at the young age of seventeen against arch rival Universidad de Chile on August 1, 2004. Arenas still has not been able to find a regular spot on the first team. International career Arenas has been capped at the under-20 level. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
