Drew Goldsack
Drew Goldsack (born August 23, 1981) is a Canadian cross-country skier who has competed since 2001. His best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was sixth in the team sprint (with Devon Kershaw) in 2007 while his best individual finish was 21st in the sprint in 2005. Drew recorded a 1st-place finish at the 2004 U23 FIS World Championships in the individual sprint as well as a 3rd-place finish in the team sprint (with Devon Kershaw). Drew's best FIS World Cup result was a fifth in the team sprint (with Len Väljas in Duesseldorf, GER in 2011 with. His best individual World Cup result was 11th place in the sprint event in Canmore in 2007. The 2006 Winter Olympics, officially the XX Olympic Winter Games ( it, XX Giochi olimpici invernali) and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin, Italy. This marked the second time Italy had hosted the Winter Olympics, the first being in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo; Italy had also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome. Turin was selected as the host city for the 2006 Games in June 1999. The official motto of Torino 2006 was "Passion lives here". The Games' logo depicted a stylized profile of the Mole Antonelliana building, drawn in white and blue ice crystals, signifying the snow and the sky. The Men's team sprint cross-country skiing competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, was held on 14 February, at Pragelato. This was the first time the team sprint was contested in the Winter Olympics. Each race featured teams of two, with each skier completing 3 laps of a 1325-metre course.
