Dowell Loggains
Dowell Loggains (born October 1, 1980) is an American football coach. He currently serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He has been the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets. He played college football and served as tight ends coach at Arkansas prior to his hiring at South Carolina. __NOTOC__ Dowell Myers is a professor of urban planning and demography in the School of Policy, Planning, and Development, at the University of Southern California (USC). He directs the school's Population Dynamics Research Group, whose recent projects have been funded by the National Institute of Health, the Haynes Foundation, Fannie Mae Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. He leads the ongoing California Demographic Futures research project at USC. Dowell Philip O'Reilly
Dowell Philip O'Reilly (18 July 1865 – 5 November 1923) was an Australian poet, short story writer and politician. Early life O'Reilly was born at Sydney. His father, Rev. Thomas O'Reilly, was a well known clergyman of the Church of England, who came of a family with many military and naval associations. Dowell was the son of his second marriage, to a Miss Smith who came from a well-educated and artistic family. Dowell O'Reilly was educated at Sydney Grammar School, and when his father died he assisted his mother in keeping a preparatory school for boys at Parramatta. In 1884 O'Reilly published a small volume, ''Australian Poems'', and in 1888 a larger volume of verse, ''A Pedlar's Pack''. Both books are now extremely rare. It has been stated that the author destroyed most of the copies of the second volume in his disappointment at its lack of success. William Dowel
William Springthorpe Dowel (1837 – 25 November 1905) was an English-born Australian politician. He was born at Hammersmith in Kent to stonemason David Dowel and Elizabeth Springthorpe. The family moved to New South Wales around 1841. Dowel was farming at Tamworth by 1860, and around 1863 he married Elizabeth Lloyd, with whom he had three children. In 1887 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the member for Tamworth; a Protectionist, he served until his defeat in 1894. Dowell is a village in Jackson County, Illinois, United States. The population was estimated to be 385 at the 2020 census, down from 408 at the 2010 census. History Dowell was founded as a coal town and named by Du Quoin attorney George Dowell and William Lafont. They requested bids for property development as early as 1917. In 1922, the town's population was over 2,000. In February, 1920, the Dowell State Bank was opened in the town. Town founders George Dowell and William Lafont were among the first directors of the bank. It was the scene of a bank robbery on September 30, 1924. The bank closed in 1932 following embezzlement charges against its president, William Lafont. In late 1920, construction began on a railroad depot serving the Illinois Central Railroad. ''Professor Dowell's Head'' is a 1925 science fiction and horror story (and later novel) by Russian author Alexander Belyaev. Plot Professor Dowell and his assistant surgeon Dr. Kern are working on medical problems including life support in separated body parts. Dr. Kern kills Dowell (in a set up car / asthma accident). Professor Dowell's head is now kept alive and used by Dr. Kern for extraction of scientific secrets; however, his new assistant, the medically trained Marie Loren, discovers the ploy and is dismayed; to keep her from exposing him, Kern eventually gets her imprisoned in a false lunatic asylum for undesirables.
