Douglas Clark (1942 – 20 July 2010) was an English poet. Clark was born in Darlington, County Durham, England, to Scottish parents in 1942. He was educated at Glasgow University, where he studied Mathematics, and in Edinburgh. From 1973 until 1993 he worked in Computing Services at the University of Bath, 10 years spent working on Multics Multics ("Multiplexed Information and Computing Service") is an influential early time-sharing operating system based on the concept of a single-level memory.Dennis M. Douglas Clark (sculptor)
Douglas Clark is an American sculptor. Native to Edna, Texas, he grew up near Port Arthur. He resides in McAllen, Texas, where, in an old church, he researches and creates representational pieces in bronze. His work includes portrayals of several notable people, as well as symbolic animals or figures. For Port Arthur he sculpted a number of busts of Janis Joplin as part of the memorial to her. He has a number of works around the city of McAllen, such as a stallion at the Memorial High and a soldier at the Veterans War Memorial of Texas. His bust of Leo Pena, councilman, is placed in the Leo Pena Memorial Park in Mission City, Texas. Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts, also known as Doug Clark and his Hot Nuts, The Hot Nuts and, since the death of Doug Clark in 2002, Doug Clark's Hot Nuts, is an American rhythm and blues, rock and novelty band that has played party and club dates for more than fifty years. Starting in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, they became famous on the college circuit in the southeastern United States in the early 1960s for their risqué song lyrics and jokes, and for allegedly performing in various states of undress. Their signature song was "Hot Nuts". Douglas Dwyer Clark (born March 5, 1976) is an American professional baseball coach and former player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics, and in the KBO League for the Hanwha Eagles and Nexen Heroes. Early career Clark was a star high-school football, basketball and tennis player at Springfield Central High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst on a football scholarship as a wide receiver. He was a walk-on to the baseball team, and in three seasons posted a career batting average of .366 with 21 home runs, 137 runs batted in (RBIs), and 49 stolen bases. Douglas Daniel Clark (born March 10, 1948) is an American serial killer. Clark and his accomplice, Carol M. Bundy, were collectively known as the Sunset Strip Killers. They were convicted of multiple murders in Los Angeles, California. Early life Doug Clark was the son of Franklin Clark, a Naval Intelligence officer. His family moved frequently during Clark's childhood due to his father's job, and he later claimed to have lived in 37 countries. In 1958, his father left the Navy for a civilian position as an engineer with the Transport Company of Texas, but the family still moved around. They lived in the Marshall Islands for a time, moved back to San Francisco, California, and then moved again to India.
