'' Doctor Who'' is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. The show has been a large influence in the media since its inception in 1963. Along with the regular series, special Christmas episodes were initially broadcast every year, beginning with "The Christmas Invasion" (2005) and ending with " Twice Upon a Time" (2017). Euros Lyn (; born 1971) is a Welsh film and television director, best known for his work in '' Doctor Who'', '' Sherlock'', ''Black Mirror'', '' Daredevil'', ''His Dark Materials'' and '' Heartstopper''. The Torchwood Institute, or simply Torchwood, is a fictional secret society, secret organisation from the British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its Doctor Who spin-offs, spin-off series ''Torchwood''. It was established in 1879 by Queen Victoria after the events of "Tooth and Claw (Doctor Who), Tooth and Claw".
