Distribution Of Seats In The Austrian Landtage
The Austrian Landtage are the unicameral legislatures of the nine Austrian states, according to the Constitution of Austria deciding in all matters unless explicitly subject of federal legislation. On federal level the ''Landtage'' are represented in the Federal Council. Eight political parties are represented in the ''Landtage'', of which five are represented in more than one. Unicameralism
Unicameralism (from ''uni''- "one" + Latin ''camera'' "chamber") is a type of legislature, which consists of one house or assembly, that legislates and votes as one. Unicameral legislatures exist when there is no widely perceived need for multicameralism ( two or more chambers). Many multicameral legislatures were created to give separate voices to different sectors of society. Multiple houses allowed, for example, for a guaranteed representation of different social classes (as in the Parliament of the United Kingdom or the French States-General). Team Carinthia
Team Carinthia (german: Team Kärnten, TK), formerly Team Stronach Carinthia, is a political party in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It emerged from the Carinthian regional organization of the now defunct Team Stronach. In the media, it is attested to have a populist orientation. In the 2018 Carinthian state election, Team Carinthia reached the Carinthian Landtag with 5.80% of the votes. 2020 Viennese State Election
The 2020 Viennese state election was held on 11 October 2020 to elect the members of the Gemeinderat and Landtag of Vienna. The outgoing government was a coalition of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and The Greens. The SPÖ remained comfortably in first place with small gains. Conversely, the previously second-placed Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) suffered a catastrophic defeat, losing 80% of its votes compared to 2015 and becoming the smallest party in the legislature. The 2021 Upper Austrian state election was held on 26 September 2021 to elect the members of the Landtag of Upper Austria. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) remained the largest party with small gains. The 2018 Tyrolean state election was held on 25 February 2018 to elect the members of the Landtag of Tyrol. The conservative Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) placed first with 44.3% of votes, a 4.9 percentage point swing. The 2019 Styrian state election was held on 24 November 2019 to elect the members of the Landtag of Styria. The conservative Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) was the clear winner of the election, winning 36.0% on a swing of 7.6 percentage points. The 2018 Carinthian state election was held on 5 March 2018 to elect the members of the Landtag of Carinthia. 2020 Burgenland State Election
The 2020 Burgenland state election was held on 26 January 2020 to elect the members of the 22nd Landtag of Burgenland. The snap election was called in the wake of the Ibiza affair in May 2019, which caused the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) to terminate its coalition with the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). Citizens' Forum Austria
The Citizens' Forum Austria (german: Bürgerforum Österreich, FRITZ) is an Austrian political party mainly active in Tyrol. It was founded by president of the Tyrolean branch of the Austrian Chamber of Labour Fritz Dinkhauser (an Austrian People's Party member before that), who was joined by the popular anti-transit activist Fritz Gurgiser of the ''Transitforum Austria-Tirol''.
