''Dick's Picks Volume 21'' is a three-CD live album by the rock group the Grateful Dead. It contains the complete concert that was recorded on November 1, 1985, at Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. It also includes several bonus tracks recorded on September 2, 1980, at the Community War Memorial in Rochester, New York. It was released on March 20, 2001. ''Dick's Picks Volume 21'' features rare live recordings of "Spoonful", "Gimme Some Lovin'", "She Belongs to Me", "Gloria" and "Keep Your Day Job". Enclosure and review The release includes two sheets of paper stapled together in the middle, yielding an eight-page enclosure. The front duplicates the cover of the CD and the back features a poem entitled "20th Anniversary Rag" which references some of the songs in the band's repertoire. Inside, the first two pages contain a review by Stu Nixon, and filling the middle two pages is a color photograph of the band playing on stage. The last two pages list the contents of ...

Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. The band is known for its eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, country, jazz, bluegrass, blues, rock and roll, gospel, reggae, world music, and psychedelia; for live performances of lengthy instrumental jams that typically incorporated modal and tonal improvisation; and for its devoted fan base, known as "Deadheads". "Their music", writes Lenny Kaye, "touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists." These various influences were distilled into a diverse and psychedelic whole that made the Grateful Dead "the pioneering Godfathers of the jam band world". The band was ranked 57th by ''Rolling Stone'' magazine in its " The Greatest Artists of All Time" issue.
