Denial
Denial, in ordinary English usage, has at least three meanings: asserting that any particular statement or allegation is not true (which might be accurate or inaccurate); the refusal of a request; and asserting that a true statement is not true. In psychology, denialism is a person's choice to deny reality as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth. In psychoanalytic theory, denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence. The concept of denial is important in twelve-step programs where the abandonment or reversal of denial that substance dependence is problematic forms the basis of the first, fourth, fifth, eighth and tenth steps. Deny (band)
Deny was an Argentine post-hardcore band based in Buenos Aires. History 2007–2011 DENY was formed in 2007 in Buenos Aires. The current line up of DENY consists of Nazareno Gomez (vocals), Joaquín Ortega (guitar, vocals), Mateo Sevillano (guitar), Juan Pablo Uberti (bass guitar, vocals), Agustín Dupuis (drums) and Jonathan Perez (keyboard). DENY released their debut EP entitled ''La Distancia'' in 2009 via Inmune Records. The EP was recorded by Javier Casas of Argentine hardcore punk band Nueva Ética and Matias Espinoza the vocalist of Dar Sangre. The band shared stage with Silverstein and Alesana during the "Super Rock de Capital Federal" on February 11, 2009. DENY promoted their EP in the Buenos Aires area the rest of the year. Deny (album)
''Deny'' is the second album released by the Ex Pistols in 1992. Due to the cover art, the band is often miscredited as the "Sexless Pistols". The album itself isn't an official, chart worthy album, but a promo pressing of approximately 600 copies. It was given to fans of the Sex Pistols, and occasionally left in Virgin Record stores with a sticker on the front of the sleeve stating that it was actually free. There has never been much information given as to when and why the album was distributed, and as it was never available to purchase it is obviously not readily available. The record itself has become somewhat of a collector's item and copies are occasionally sold on eBay at varying prices. The album is made up of completely original Ex Pistols songs, and most tracks that had been previously included on other releases are re-recorded on this album. Default (band)
Default is a Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver in 1999. Since forming, the band has released four albums, and has sold more than a million records. The majority of their fan base is in Canada, but they had brief mainstream success in the United States with the release of their hit single " Wasting My Time". The group disbanded in 2013 after a hiatus following the release of their fourth album, and lead singer Dallas Smith pursued a country music solo career. In 2018, Default announced that they were back together. The band also announced a tour in support of Stone Temple Pilots and Seether, and a co-headline tour with Ages of Days. The Clash (album)
''The Clash'' is the debut studio album by English punk rock band the Clash. It was released on 8 April 1977 through CBS Records. Recorded and mixed over three weeks in February 1977 for £4,000, it would go on to reach No. 12 on the UK charts, and has been included on many retrospective rankings as one of the greatest punk albums of all time. Songs on the album were composed by guitarists Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, with the notable exception of the reggae cover "Police and Thieves". Several songs from these sessions, including " Janie Jones", "White Riot", and " London's Burning" became classics of the punk genre and were among the first punk songs to see significant presence on singles charts. The album featured Jones and Strummer sharing guitar and vocal duties, with Paul Simonon on bass and Terry Chimes on drums, his only studio appearance with the band. Deny King
Charles Denison (Deny) King (12 September 190912 May 1991) was an Australian naturalist, ornithologist, environmentalist, painter and tin miner. He spent fifty-five years living in Melaleuca in Port Davey, part of the remote South West Wilderness of Tasmania where he discovered the extinct shrub, '' Banksia kingii'', among other major exploits. Biography King was a tin miner by profession and followed his father, Charlie, to Melaleuca in 1936, where he built a house, which was accommodation for himself and workers as well as the airstrip which opened up tourism for the South West Wilderness. On 6 June 1940, Deny King enlisted in the Australian Army where he served through World War II being discharged on 15 October 1945.
