Dennis Hayden (actor)
Dennis Hayden (born April 7, 1952) is an American actor, producer and writer, most famous for his role as Eddie, one of the main terrorists in the popular 1988 action film '' Die Hard''. Early life Dennis Hayden was one of five brothers and one sister born in Girard, Kansas on a pig and soybean farm. He worked the wheat harvest during summers off from high school, graduating in 1970. He worked the summer wheat harvests and played football, becoming the number one tackle in Kansas. He attended Fort Scott Junior College for the game, but then, when he was nineteen, decided to head to the West Coast and try out acting. At this point, he got involved in theater, commercials, TV and films. In popular culture Hayden's ''Die Hard'' character, Eddie, was parodied in ''The Cleveland Shows parody episode, "Die Semi-Hard", where he is voiced by rocker Huey Lewis, because actor Dennis Hayden and Huey Lewis look very similar. Girard, Kansas
Girard is a city in and the county seat of Crawford County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,496. History Girard was founded in the spring of 1868, in opposition to Crawfordsville, and named after the town of Girard, Pennsylvania, the former home of trustee Charles Strong. It was based around the surveyed line of the Kansas City, Fort Scott and Gulf Railroad, in an attempt to gain an advantage over its rival. The first post office in Girard was established in September 1868. The first celebration in Girard occurred on July 4, 1868, marking Sunday school and Independence Day. Under a law passed in March 1871, Girard became a city of the third class. In early April the first city officers were elected.
