George Demos
George Demos is a former United States Securities and Exchange Commission prosecutor, and was a candidate for the Republican nomination for New York's 1st congressional district on New York State's Long Island. He is currently a partner at DLA Piper and an adjunct law professor at University of California at Davis Law School. Early life Demos is the grandson of immigrants. His mother was a public school teacher, and his father was an attorney in private practice. Demos grew up in New York City where he attended high school, and now lives in Holbrook, New York. Demos received his B.A. from Columbia University, majoring in political science, and his J.D. from Fordham Law School. Demos Shakarian ( hy, Դեմոս Շաքարյան; 21 July 1913 – 23 July 1993) was an American businessman of Armenian origin from Los Angeles who founded the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI). His story and the story of FGBMFI is the subject of the book ''The Happiest People on Earth'', written by John and Elizabeth Sherrill (''Guideposts'' Magazine) and published in 1975. Demos Yu-bou Chiang (), born on 10 September 1976 in Taipei, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese and Canadian businessman. He founded DEM Inc. (橙果設計), a popular design studio in Taiwan in July 2003 and has served as its chairman since then. He is also known for being the great-grandson of the late Republic of China (ROC) President Chiang Kai-shek and the grandson of late President Chiang Ching-kuo. The Demos are a collection of demos from the album ''Fear Fun ''Fear Fun'' is the first studio album released by American folk musician Josh Tillman under his pseudonym Father John Misty. It was released on April 30, 2012, in the UK and Europe on Bella Union, and in the rest of the world on May 1, 2012, on ...'' by Father John Misty. The sound of the EP is sparse, noisy and minimalistic, producing the typical "demo sound". The track "Nothing Hurts Worse" is exclusive to this release. The EP was given away free with the mail preorders of the limited "Losers" LP edition. The "Losers" edition is pressed on pink marble vinyl and limited to 850 copies. Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", although none of them were biologically related; they were inspired by Paul McCartney, who would check into hotels as "Paul Ramon". The Ramones performed 2,263 concerts, touring virtually nonstop for 22 years. Rebecca Hollweg (born 30 June 1964) is an English singer-songwriter. She has been described as "a talented songsmith" who "combines old-school craftsmanship with Joni Mitchell's perspectives on relationships and environment" and "a silky-voiced jazz-influenced songwriter" who "laces her low-key arrangements with exquisite vocals".
