David Scott
David Randolph Scott (born June 6, 1932) is an American retired test pilot and NASA astronaut who was the seventh person to walk on the Moon. Selected as part of the third group of astronauts in 1963, Scott flew to space three times and commanded Apollo 15, the fourth lunar landing; he is one of four surviving Moon walkers and the last surviving crew member of Apollo15. Before becoming an astronaut, Scott graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and joined the Air Force. After serving as a fighter pilot in Europe, he graduated from the Air Force Experimental Test Pilot School (Class 62C) and the Aerospace Research Pilot School (Class IV). Scott retired from the Air Force in 1975 with the rank of colonel, and more than 5,600 hours of logged flying time. David Lynch Scott
David Lynch Scott (21 August 1845 – 26 July 1924) was a Canadian militia officer, lawyer, and judge. He served as mayor of Orangeville, Ontario, mayor of Regina, Saskatchewan and Chief Justice of Alberta. Early life He was born in Brampton, Ontario, the son of John Scott and Mary Lynch. He studied law at Osgoode Hall, was called to the Ontario bar in 1870 and practised in Brampton and Orangeville. In 1882, he moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. Marriage He married Mary McVittie on November 19, 1883 in Barrie, Ontario. Career He enlisted as a private in the 36th (Peel) Battalion of Infantry during the Fenian invasions of 1866. By the end of his military service in 1879, he had attained the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Scott was mayor of Orangeville from 1879–1880, and in 1884-85 served as the first Mayor of Regina. David G. Scott is an Australian educationalist who has been the headmaster of Kingswood College in Melbourne, the Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane, and Newington College in Sydney. Teaching career Scott taught for 21 years in government schools in Western Australia before being appointed as Deputy Headmaster of Wesley College, Perth. In 1994, he moved to Victoria to take up a position as the Headmaster of Kingswood College. He was the sixth Headmaster of the Anglican Church Grammar School ("Churchie"), in Brisbane. He has been a Western Australian state youth sailing coach and has competed in sailing at international, national and state competitions and has won Masters rowing events in national competitions. Rear-Admiral Sir David Scott, KBE, CB (5 April 1921 – 20 January 2006) was an officer in the Royal Navy from 1937 to 1980. David Albert Scott (born June 27, 1945) is an American politician and businessman who has served as the U.S. representative for since 2003. Scott's district includes the southern fourth of Atlanta, as well as several of its suburbs to the south and west. Before his election to Congress in 2002, Scott served as a Democratic member of both chambers of the Georgia Legislature and operated a small business. In 2007, the political watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington named Scott one of the 25 most corrupt members of Congress. Sir David Aubrey Scott (3 August 1919 – 27 December 2010) was a British diplomat who served as High Commissioner to New Zealand and Ambassador to South Africa. Early life Scott was the elder son of Hugh Sumner Scott who was a schoolmaster at Wellington College, and his wife, Barbara Easton Jackson, who was a J.P. and county councillor, becoming Chairman of the Berkshire County Council Education Committee.
