Dagomys railway station (russian: Станция Дагомыс) is a railway station of the North Caucasus Railway, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, located in Dagomys Microdistrict, Lazarevsky City District of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Later on, only local electric commuter trains called at the station. Because the long-distance trains did not stop here anymore, Dagomys suffered from the reduction of the number of tourists. Dagomys ( ady, Дэгъумес); is a microdistrict of Sochi, Russia (12 km from the city centre), known for its resorts, vacation spots and tea plantations. It was developed as a resort since before the Russian Revolution, when a botanical garden was founded by order of Tsar Nicholas II. A modern hotel complex was opened there in 1982. Dagomys adjoins Bocharov Ruchey, a dacha built for Kliment Voroshilov in the 1950s, but later upgraded into a country residence of the President of Russia, where he normally spends his vacations and confers with leaders of other states. Tuapse (russian: Туапсе́; ady, Тӏуапсэ ) is a town in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, situated on the northeast shore of the Black Sea, south of Gelendzhik and north of Sochi.
