Don Parsons (born January 17, 1969) is an American former professional ice hockey player. Parsons is noted for being a prolific goal scorer who briefly held the modern minor league goal-scoring record from 2008 to 2010. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. Flint Generals
The Flint Generals were a minor professional ice hockey team based in Flint, Michigan. They were a member of the International Hockey League and played their home games at the Industrial Mutual Association (IMA) Sports Arena. The Generals won two league championships Colonial Cups in the Colonial Hockey League and United Hockey League. History Flint had been home to minor professional hockey in some incarnation since 1969, except for a one-year break in the 1990–91 season. Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association
Established in 1991, the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association is a hockey-only college athletic conference whose members are East Coast schools. The ECHA is part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1. League Format ECHA members play each conference opponent twice, once at home and once away. In addition teams play non-league games against other ACHA member schools. At the conclusion of the regular season in February the league holds a championship tournament. At the conclusion of the ECHA championship tournament, the ECHA regular season champions receive an automatic bid to the ACHA Men's Division I National Tournament. Scott Brower (September 26, 1964 – October 21, 1998) was an American professional ice hockey goaltender. Early career Brower was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 12th round (243rd overall) in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. As a member of the North Dakota Fighting Sioux, he was a backup to future NHL All-Star Ed Belfour. Robin Bouchard (born October 22, 1973) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played sixteen seasons of minor league hockey. He holds the modern-era minor league goal scoring record, scoring 687 goals while playing in the ECHL, CoHL, United Hockey League, CHL, and the modern-day IHL. Professional career ECHL Bouchard started his career with the Roanoke Express under head coach Frank Anzalone. He chose the Express "because the owners were French-Canadian." Bouchard scored his first goal as a result of a defenseman's slap shot that went wide. The puck ended up on Bouchard's stick and he shot into the open side of the net. Nicholas Evlampios Fotiu (born May 25, 1952) is an American former professional ice hockey forward. He played in the World Hockey Association and National Hockey League between 1974 and 1988. Playing career Fotiu's father was of Greek descent, while his mother was of Italian descent. A left winger, Fotiu began his career in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the New England Whalers in the 1974–75 season.
