The Director of Human Resources (, PERSDIR) is the director of human resources of the Swedish Armed Forces. PERSDIR, which heads the Human Resources Department (''Ledningsstabens personalavdelning'', LEDS PERS), is an administrative position based at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters in Stockholm. The PERSDIR is part of the Defence Board (''Försvarsmaktsledningen'', FML), a group of the Supreme Commander's top commanders. Håkan Syrén
General Håkan Erik Gunnar Syrén (born 31 January 1952) is a retired officer of the Swedish Coastal Artillery/Swedish Amphibious Corps and former chairman of the European Union Military Committee. He was the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces from 1 January 2004 to 25 March 2009, and was the first Supreme Commander to come from the Navy. Early life Syrén was born in Växjö, Sweden, the son of lieutenant colonel Gunnar Syrén and his wife Siv Syrén. He grew up in Uppsala, where he graduated from Lundellska läroverket in 1970. Johan Hederstedt
General Johan Ivar Hederstedt (born 26 August 1943) is a senior Swedish Army officer. Hederstedt was commissioned as an officer in 1966 and went on to serve as a second lieutenant in the Älvsborg Regiment. In 1981, he embarked on a United Nations mission to the volatile region of Cyprus, a commitment that was followed by another overseas assignment in 1988 when he assumed command of a UN battalion in Lebanon.
