Dinaburg FC
Dinaburg FC was a Latvian Association football, football club, playing in the city of Daugavpils. In 2009 it merged with FC Daugava, FK Daugava. The club played at the Daugava Stadium (capacity 4,070). On October 5, 2009, Dinaburg was expelled from the Latvian Higher League, Virsliga and both the president and trainer were banned for life on suspicion of betting and match-fixing. The Baltic League (officially known as the Triobet Baltic League) was a Baltic men's football club tournament held four times between the top club sides from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Launched in 2007 inspired by the now defunct Scandinavian tournament Royal League and by the Baltic Basketball League.
