Dennis Anderson
Dennis Montague Anderson (born October 24, 1960) is an American former professional monster truck driver. He is the creator, team owner, and former driver of " Grave Digger" on the USHRA Monster Jam circuit. Anderson is from Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, where he currently resides. Career Dennis started out as a mud bogger with his original truck in 1982. This truck was built using the body of a 1952 Ford pickup truck painted in red primer, and was dubbed Grave Digger after a boast made before a race. The truck was later rebuilt with larger wheels and using a 1951 Ford panel truck painted in silver and blue. At one local show, a scheduled monster truck failed to appear and Anderson, who already had large tractor tires on the truck, offered to crush cars in the absence of the full-size monster truck. Dennis Anderson (politician)
Dennis Lester Anderson (August 16, 1949 – March 20, 2019) was a provincial-level politician from Alberta, Canada. At seventeen, Anderson attended Rochdale College in Toronto and started the Rochdale Drug Crisis Centre. He has continued to advocate for mental health ever since. After Rochdale, he spent several years in media, hosting weekly radio shows about current political affairs. Political career Born in Edmonton, Anderson ran as a Progressive Conservative candidate in the 1979 Alberta general election. He won the electoral district of Calgary-Currie, defeating three other candidates. He was re-elected to his second term in the 1982 Alberta general election, winning the popular vote. Anderson stood for a third term in the 1986 Alberta general election. He won that election defeating three other candidates, but his vote share decreased. Dennis LeRoy Anderson
In 2009, Dennis LeRoy Anderson of Proctor, Minnesota, received widespread media attention for being arrested in a DUI case involving a motorized recliner. Riding a recliner which he had earlier fitted with a lawnmower engine, he crashed into a car after leaving a local bar, where he had consumed a number of beers. He was convicted and the chair was confiscated by the police, who auctioned it off on Do-Bid.com for $3,700. Though widely reported to be a La-Z-Boy, the chair was unbranded. Incident 62-year-old Dennis LeRoy Anderson fitted his recliner with a lawnmower engine, wheels and steering wheel, which allowed the chair to reach up to 20 miles (32 km) per hour. He had also installed a stereo, cup holders, headlights and a power antenna. On August 31, 2009, he left a local bar in Proctor, Minnesota, after having drunk eight or nine beers and crashed into a car in the parking lot.
