Incapacitants
are a Japanese noise music group formed in 1981. Initially a solo project of Toshiji Mikawa, Fumio Kosakai joined upon the project's relocation to Tokyo. The duo's stated aim is to produce "pure" noise, uninfluenced by musical ideas or even human intention, using primarily feedback, vocals, and various electronics. Kosakai calls this sound "hard noise", as a nod to the jazz subgenre hard bop. History In 1981, Toshiji Mikawa formed Incapacitants in Osaka as a solo project from his other creative endeavours with improv noise group Hijokaidan. As a solo project, Mikawa collaborated with Japanese vocalist and visual artist Yamantaka Eye, among others. After relocating to Tokyo, Kosakai, of Japanese noise band C.C.C.C., joined Incapacitants to form the current duo. Kosakai would later join Mikawa and become a regular member of Hijokaidan. Incapacitants, alongside Hijokaidan, Merzbow, C.C.C.C., Solmania, Hanatarash, the Gerogerigegege, and Masonna, are counted among the more well-kn ...

Bra Size
Bra size (also known as brassiere measurement or bust size) indicates the size characteristics of a bra to accurately fit the breasts. While there are a number of bra sizing systems in use around the world, the bra sizes usually consist of a number, indicating the size of the band around the torso, and one or more letters that indicate the breast cup size. Bra cup sizes were invented in 1932 while band sizes became popular in the 1940s. For convenience, because of the impracticality of determining the size dimensions of each breast, the volume of the bra cup, or ''cup size'', is based on the difference between band length and over-the-bust measurement. Manufacturers try to design and manufacture bras that correctly fit the majority of wearers, while individuals try to identify correctly fitting bras among different styles and sizing systems. The shape, size, position, symmetry, spacing, firmness, and sag of an individual's breasts vary considerably. Manufacturers' bra size labe ...

SPARS Code
The SPARS code is a three-position alphabetic classification system developed in the early 1980s by the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS) for commercial compact disc releases to denote aspects of the sound recording and reproduction process, distinguishing between the use of analog equipment and digital equipment. The code's three positions refer to recording, mixing, and mastering respectively. The first two positions may be coded either "A" for analog or "D" for digital; the third position (mastering) is always "D" on digital CDs. The scheme was not originally intended to be limited to use on digital packaged media: it was also available for use in conjunction with analog releases such as vinyl or cassette (where the final character would always be "A"), but this was seldom done in practice. The system was first implemented in 1984. Due to increasing complexity of recording and mixing processes developed over the code's first decade of use, SPARS decide ...

Date Format By Country
The legal and cultural expectations for date and time representation vary between countries, and it is important to be aware of the forms of all-numeric calendar dates used in a particular country to know what date is intended. Writers have traditionally written abbreviated dates according to their local custom, creating all-numeric equivalents to day–month formats such as "" (, , or ) and month–day formats such as "" ( or ). This can result in dates that are impossible to understand correctly without knowing the context. For instance, depending on the order style, the abbreviated date "01/11/06" can be interpreted as "1 November 2006" for DMY, "January 11, 2006" for MDY, and "2001 November 6" for YMD. The ISO 8601 format YYYY-MM-DD () is intended to harmonize these formats and ensure accuracy in all situations. Many countries have adopted it as their sole official date format, though even in these areas writers may adopt abbreviated formats that are no longer recommende ...

Four Ds
The term Four Ds refers to the four guiding principles of the allied occupation of Germany after World War II. Resulting from the Potsdam Conference in July to August 1945, they comprise: demilitarisation, denazification, decentralisation, and democratisation. Some historians add decartelisation or deindustrialisation to this list, creating the alternative name Five Ds. While the disarmament of the ''Wehrmacht'' was accomplished soon after the end of hostilities, the remaining principles were applied to differing outcomes in the individual occupation zones. In the Western zones, denazification was achieved only partially in spite of the high-profile Nuremberg trials. Nevertheless, a federal and democratic state was soon created. In the Soviet occupation zone, society was cleansed of Nazi elements more thoroughly, but a Marxist–Leninist one-party state (East Germany) emerged in the wake of denazification. Outcome of the Potsdam Conference In July 1945, delegations from the ...
