D0 Expressway (Czech Republic)
D0 motorway () or Prague Ring Road () is a motorway which, when completed, would create an outer ring road around in Prague, Czech Republic. Most of the Czech motorways radiate from the D0. Unlike the inner ring road, whose sub-sections have been given different official street names, the Prague Ring Road is also the official name of a street in all parts of the ring road leading through Prague. It was formerly called R1 expressway (). Two disjunct sections are opened to the public, one going all the way from the Ruzyně Airport to the interchange with the D1, the other one being a road on the eastern border of Prague. A section connecting these two segments is to be built next. Other segments under preparation include a bridge over the Vltava river near Suchdol. Vestec (Prague-West District)
Vestec is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,200 inhabitants. Etymology The name is derived from the word , i.e. 'village'. Geography Vestec is located south of Prague, in its immediate vicinity. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the Prague Plateau. In the centre of the municipality is Vestecký pond, supplied by a brook called Olšanský potok. History The first written mention of Vestec is in a deed of King Charles IV from 1360. The village was then a part of the Kostelec estate (today Zbořený Kostelec within Týnec nad Sázavou). From 1454, Vestec was a property of the Old Town of Prague. From the 17th century until the establishment of an independent municipality, Vestec belonged to the Dolní Břežany estate and was owned mainly by the Prague archbishopric. D1 Motorway (Czech Republic)
The D1 motorway () is the main motorway of the Czech Republic. It routes from Prague to Brno and on to the Polish border, although there is currently a small section still under construction. Once completed its length will be . It is the busiest motorway in the Czech Republic, with a maximum AADT of 99,000 vehicles per day near Prague. Komořany
Komořany () is a former village which is now a cadastral subdivision of the Prague 12, municipal district of Prague 12. History Komořany was recorded in 1088 as "Comoraz", a settlement belonging to the Vyšehrad Chapter. The name derives from ''komora'' (in the sense of royal or aristocratic property, rent or income), referring to the land on which the villagers dwelt. Other records indicate that the land (or parts of it) was owned by Wenceslaus II of Bohemia, Wenceslas II (until 1304), the Scholasticism, Scholastic Dobeš (until 1332), the Zbraslav monastery (until 1436), George of Poděbrady until 1470)) and Václav Šturm of Hyršfeldu (who added the title ''seat'' to the village, after 1589).
