Cycling Shoe
Cycling shoes are shoes purpose-built for cycling. There are a variety of designs depending on the type and intensity of the cycling for which they are intended. Key features include rigidity, for more-efficient transfer of power from the cyclist to the pedals, weight, a method of attaching the shoe firmly to the pedal and adaptability for use on and off the bicycle. Most high-performance cycling shoes can be adjusted while in use, via a quick-adjusting system that has largely replaced laces. Pedal systems Modern cycling shoes are designed to work with clipless pedal systems. ''Sidi'' or ''Sayidi'', also Sayyidi and Sayeedi, ( ar, سيدي, Sayyīdī, Sīdī (dialectal) "milord") is an Arabic masculine title of respect. ''Sidi'' is used often to mean "saint" or "my master" in Maghrebi Arabic and Egyptian Arabic. Without the first person possessive object pronoun ''-ī'' (ي-), the word is used similarly in other dialects, in which case it would be the equivalent to modern popular usage of the English '' Mr''. Track Time Trial
The track time trial is a track cycling event where cyclists compete individually against the clock to record the fastest time over the specified distance from a standing start. Time trial bikes Track time trial bikes differ from normal track bikes in two major ways; firstly they have disc or 3–5 spoked wheels, and secondly they often use aero-bars to allow the rider to adopt a more aerodynamic riding position. In competitive cycling, the kit (or uniform) is the standard equipment and attire worn specifically by athletes participating in the sport. The outfits differ from other forms of cycling, such as commuting and recreational cycling due to the need for technical and performance materials and features to improve efficiency and comfort. The UCI specify the kit and the design the riders use. Cycling kits have evolved significantly since the early days of the sport when participants wore wool jerseys. Recent advances in manufacturing and technology have enabled lighter, more comfortable, colourful and complex designs to be made. Northwave is a sporting equipment manufacturer, and was started in Montebelluna, Italy by Gianni Piva and is owned by the Piva family. Shoes and boots The company first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, when they produced shoes for other companies. In the late 1980s when snowboarding was first starting to take form, Piva started to manufacture snowboard boots for other snowboard companies. Piva later developed his own brand of boots. Acquisitions Piva bought the company name, Northwave, which originally stemmed from a wind surfing company in Hood River, Oregon, United States. In 1991 Northwave came out with its own line of snowboard boots. In the mid-1990's Northwave bought Drake bindings, which was an already established binding company.
