Craig David Adams (born 4 April 1962) is an English musician, bass guitarist and songwriter. Over his career he has worked with a variety of rock bands, the most notable being the Sisters of Mercy and the Mission. Biography Craig David Adams was born in Otley, Yorkshire, on 4 April 1962, and was brought up in Leeds. Adams left school to pursue a career in music and initially played keyboards in a local band the Expelairs, who released a handful of singles. He left the five-piece due to musical differences and took up bass. Inspired by Motörhead he began to channel his bass through distortion-effects. After a short conversation in a local bar with Andrew Eldritch he joined The Sisters of Mercy. Here Adams developed his songwriting abilities, contributing mainly to arrangements and using his higher ranged voice for backing vocals which contrasted with Eldritch's melancholic baritone. Craig D. Adams (born April 26, 1977) is a Bruneian-born Canadian former professional ice hockey player, who most recently played with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. Adams was born in Seria, Brunei, but was raised in Calgary, Alberta, residing and playing hockey in the community of Lake Bonavista. Adams won the Stanley Cup with both the Carolina Hurricanes (in 2006) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (in 2009). Playing career Adams was selected in the 9th round, 223rd overall, in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers where he gained the distinction of being their last draft pick. Adams was drafted after his freshman season at Harvard University. He suffered a season-ending shoulder injury on December 27, 1997 in a game against the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Craig John Adams (born 9th November 1974) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League for Northampton Town. A ball winning central defender who was highly regarded by team mates and opposition players. Craig signed for Northampton Town after turning down an apprenticeship at West Bromwich Albion where he had captained the u15s and u16s. Adams made 2 football league appearances in his 1st year of his apprenticeship with Northampton Town and was made captain of the reserve side there at the start of his 2nd year. After a successful loan period at Kings Lynn Town Fc under John Musgrove, Adams was offered a professional contract at Northampton and was an ever present with the reserve side displaying commanding performances in the middle of the defence Craig was asked to train with Norwich City who at the time were managed by Mike Walker.
