Miejski Klub Sportowy Cracovia Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna, commonly known simply as MKS Cracovia or Cracovia (), is a Polish professional football club based in Kraków. The club is five-time and also the first Polish champion, winner of the Polish Cup and the Polish Super Cup in 2020. Founded in 1906, Cracovia is the longest existing Polish club. History Beginning The early years of football in the city of Kraków are associated with professor Henryk Jordan. He was a Polish physician who had spent some time in Britain and after coming back to his native city introduced football to its youth. Jordan was a huge supporter of all sports and gymnastics. On 12 March 1889, he founded The Park of Games and Plays in Kraków, which was commonly called Jordan's Park. The Austrian Football Association (german: Österreichischer Fußball-Bund; ÖFB) is the governing body of football in Austria. It organises the football league, Austrian Bundesliga, the Austrian Cup and the Austria national football team, as well as its female equivalent. It is based in the capital, Vienna. Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre Budapest Futball Club or shortly MTK is a Hungarian football club based in Józsefváros, Budapest. The team currently plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros (), Fradi, or simply FTC, is a professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros. Leon Sperling
Leon Sperling (7 August 1900 – 15 December 1941) was a Polish Olympic footballer. Sperling was born in Kraków, and was Jewish. He was a football forward, playing on the left wing. Sperling represented Cracovia, the team he led in 1921, 1930, and 1932 to the Championship of Poland. He also played in 16 games for the Polish National Team, including Poland's lone game at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. He was regarded as a highly skilled dribbler. He also coached in Lviv. Sperling is one of Cracovia Kraków's legends. Sperling was shot to death by the Nazis in the Lwów Ghetto in December 1941. Ludwik Gintel ( he, לודוויק גינטל; 26 September 1899 – 11 July 1973) was a Polish Olympic footballer. Early and personal life Gintel was born Kraków. He was Jewish. He worked as an architect and bank clerk. Football career Gintel began his football career playing for the Jewish Sports Association Jutrzenka Kraków. He then played 328 games for KS Cracovia, until 1931, as a right-back (later forward). With KS Cracovia, he was twice the champion of Poland (1921 and 1930). In 1928, he was Poland's top scorer. He was also capped 12 times for the Poland national team, making eight official appearances. Included among his appearances for the team was in their first-ever Olympic appearance at the 1924 Olympic Games. After football career After the World War II broke out, he emigrated to Palestine. Wiener Sport-Club
The Wiener Sport-Club, sometimes abbreviated as WSC, was established in 1883 in Vienna, Austria and is one of the country's oldest athletics clubs. Their traditional home is in the Dornbach quarter of the city ( 17th district). History At various times throughout its history the club has had departments for fencing, boxing, wrestling, cycling, handball, track and field, field hockey, tennis, squash, football and water polo.
