Collections (Alexia Album)
''Collections'' is the second budget compilation album of the singer Alexia released after she left the label. It is not regarded as an official Alexia hits compilation as it contains both singles and album tracks. Notably, the songs are from the time after she left Robyx and DWA and cover the albums '' Mad for Music'', '' Alexia'' (Italian version only), '' Il cuore a modo mio'' and '' Gli occhi grandi della luna''. " Da grande", one of the new songs from her 2005 hits collection '' Da grande'' is included and this is the only Alexia compilation album to feature the single '' Summerlovers''. It was released on 19 February 2009 by Columbia (Sony Code 747217) and was the first and only release by Alexia on Sony's Columbia imprint. Tracks 1-5, 8 and 12 were previously featured on Sony's first budget Alexia compilation album '' Le più belle di… Alexia'' which was notably absent of any tracks from ''Mad for Music'' which is represented here with four tracks. Alexia (Italian Singer)
Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani, 19 May 1967) is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC. In her career, she has sold over 6 million records with ten top 10 singles, four of which were number-ones with numerous international sales certifications. She has performed at the Festivalbar nine times, and four times at the Sanremo Music Festival in which she has earned, besides several music critic awards, three second-placings, and one first-placing in 2003. ''Da grande'' is the third compilation album and second greatest hits release by Italian singer Alexia released in 2005. The album spans all her Italian language singles from 2002 to 2005. Two new tracks were included on the album; " Da grande" and "Mai dire mai" with the former being released as a single and the latter as a radio promo single. Three album tracks are included; "Un cuore non hai", from her album '' Il cuore a modo mio'', "Quello che sento" and "Funky al cuore", from her album '' Gli occhi grandi della luna''. Non Lasciarmi Mai
"Non lasciarmi mai" is the second single release from the fifth studio album of Italian singer Alexia. The song is about Alexia being pleased to have her lover and the direction her life is going, comparing him as the sun in her life and her fear of being left alone. The title translates as 'Not to leave me ever'. The track contains lyrics in both English and Italian. An English version featured on the international release of the album Alexia entitled "Don't Leave Me This Way". The theme of the song differs slightly in that although Alexia likes some of what her lover does, yet he doesn't completely leave her satisfied and that she doesn't want to be left in her current way of being moderately satisfied. Although listed by the Italian Wikipedia Alexia page as being a radio single, a physical CD was released on 24 June 2002 with "Se Un Gornio" as the B side, with the song being listed as a single on Alexia's official website. "Per dire di no" is the first single from Alexia's sixth studio album '' Il cuore a modo mio'' and was released on CD in March 2003 (Sony Code 673593). The CD contained two tracks, with the second track being the 'reprise' version which would be included as a bonus track on the album. The song was performed by Alexia at the Sanremo Music Festival 2003 The Sanremo Music Festival 2003 ( it, Festival di Sanremo 2003), officially the 53rd Italian Song Festival (), was the 53rd annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, between 5 and 9 March 2003 and b ..., where she had come second the year before with " Dimmi come…". Egoista (Alexia Song)
"Egoista" is the second and final single from Alexia's sixth studio album ''Il cuore a modo mio'' and was released on CD on May 15, 2003. The CD contained two tracks, with the second track being "Tu mi fai vivere" from the album. The song was performed at the 2003 Festivalbar event to great reception.:it:Egoista (Alexia) The title translates as "Selfish" and indeed the song is about Alexia blasting a former lover as being self-centered and transparent, wanting to have time to himself but not spend any with her, and that she feels much better without him. Music video A video clip was filmed for the single and this would be the last video Alexia would film until 2005's Da grande (song), Da Grande. The video features Alexia at a fashion parade with the word 'Ego' flashing in the background amongst self-centered models. ''Gli Occhi Grandi Della Luna'' (translated as 'The Large Eyes Of The Moon') is the seventh studio album by Alexia released in Italy on 5 July 2004 (Sony Code 517379).
