Clermont Harbor is an unincorporated community on the western end of Hancock County on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. It is part of the Gulfport– Biloxi, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clermont Harbor is located directly on the coastline, with the main road in and out of town being Beach Boulevard (unsigned Mississippi Highway 606). Buccaneer State Park lies on the eastern boundary of the community. The community lies along the CSX Transportation line. A post office operated under the name Clermont Harbor from 1913 to 1989. Albert Rieker
Albert Rieker (1889–1959) was a German-born American sculptor. He designed public sculptures in Louisiana and Mississippi. Early life Albert Rieker was born in 1889 in Eislingen, Germany. He emigrated to the United States in 1923. Career Rieker became a sculptor in New Orleans, Louisiana, where his designs are found in the City Hall and the First Baptist Church. His 1940 bust of Governor Huey P. Long can be seen at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans. Rieker also designed the statue of Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne, Sieur de Bienville inside the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Other public sculptures can be found in Monroe, Louisiana. Rieker designed "two friezes" on the War Memorial Building in Jackson, Mississippi, which is listed as a contributing property to the Old Capitol on the National Register of Historic Places. Mississippi Highway 606 (MS 606) is the unsigned designation for the Beach Boulevard in Hancock County, Mississippi. It travels entirely along the coastline of the Mississippi Sound, which is part of the Gulf of Mexico. Route description MS 606 and Beach Boulevard begin at a dead end in the parking lot of Silver Slipper Casino in the seaside community of Lakeshore, near the outlet of Bayou Caddy. Biloxi, Mississippi
Biloxi ( ; ) is a city in and one of two county seats of Harrison County, Mississippi, United States (the other being the adjacent city of Gulfport). The 2010 United States Census recorded the population as 44,054 and in 2019 the estimated population was 46,212. The area's first European settlers were French colonists.
