Church Of Christ (Guy, Arkansas)
The Church of Christ is a historic church building in central Guy, Arkansas, United States, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Description The church is located just northwest of the junction Arkansas Highway 310 and Arkansas Highway 25. It is a single story cruciform structure, built of brick and stone in the Craftsman style. It was built in 1936-37 by Silas Owens, a local master mason, and is Guy's finest stone church. It is a gabled vestibule with the entrance recessed in a round-arch opening that has been enclosed in glass. Door and window openings are quoined in light brick, contrasting with earth-toned stone of the walls. The congregation is associated with the Churches of Christ. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 15, 2005. Guy is a city in Faulkner County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 708 at the 2010 census, up from 202 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Guy is located in northern Faulkner County at (35.324584, -92.334935). Arkansas Highway 25 passes through the town, leading northeast to Quitman and southwest to Greenbrier. Conway, the county seat, is to the southwest via AR 25 and US 65. Arkansas Highway 310
Highway 310 (AR 310, Ark. 310, and Hwy. 310) is a designation for two state highways in Central Arkansas. One route of begins at Highway 36 and runs east to Highway 16. A second route of begins at Highway 5 and runs west to Faulkner County Route 310 (CR 310) Clinton Mountain Road west of Enola. All routes are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). History Highway 310 was created between Highway 36 and Sidon by the Arkansas State Highway Commission (ASHC) on November 23, 1966. The section between Highway 5 and the Faulkner County line was added to the state highway system by the ASHC on March 3, 1988. In 1992, following the consolidation of the Enola and Mount Vernon school districts, the ASHC authorized AHTD to study if adding a road between the two communities would be feasible. Arkansas Highway 25
Arkansas Highway 25 is a northeast–southwest state highway in north central Arkansas. The route runs from US 64 in Conway to US 63/412 in Black Rock through Greers Ferry, Batesville, and the foothills of The Ozarks. Route description AR 25 begins in Conway at US 64. Near Conway, it is strictly a local route with no direct access to Interstate 40. A I-40 exit west of AR 25 is marked as AR 25 North, but the road serving it is officially called US 64 Spur; its junction with US 64 is 0.7 mile west of AR 25. From Conway, the road runs north to Wooster, where it turns northeast, meeting US 65 in Greenbrier. The route overlaps US 65 for several miles north of Greenbrier, then continues northeast, meeting AR 107 and AR 225 before entering Quitman.
