Adriano Bolzoni (14 April 1919 – 2003) was an Italian journalist, writer and film director. Life and career Born in Cremona, Bolzoni started his career as a journalist, being war correspondent from the front of World War II. Later, he became director of ''Reporter'', a right-wing weekly magazine published between 1959 and 1960 which is best remembered for having Pier Paolo Pasolini as film critic. In the 1960s he became editor of the newspaper ''Corriere della Sera''. Bolzoni entered the cinema industry in 1948, collaborating at the screenplay of the adventure film ''I contrabbandieri del mare'', directed by Roberto Bianchi Montero; later he was a prolific screenwriter, arousing some fame with several successful Spaghetti Westerns and poliziotteschi. William Berger, also known as Bill Berger and Wilhelm Berger, born Wilhelm Thomas Berger (June 20, 1928 – October 2, 1993) was an Austrian American actor, mostly associated with Euro and spaghetti Westerns, as well as travel documentaries. Luis de Santángel (died 1498) was a third generation '' converso'' in Spain during the late fifteenth century. Santángel worked as ''escribano de ración'' to King Ferdinand II and Queen Isabella I of Spain which left him in charge of the Royal finance. Santángel played an instrumental role in Christopher Columbus's voyage in 1492, for he managed to convince the Catholic monarchs to fund Columbus's expedition and provided a large sum of the money himself. Columbus's voyage Funding In 1486, Columbus met with Ferdinand II and Isabella I to propose his plan of finding a passage to India by sailing west rather than east. While the Spanish monarchs were interested in his plans, they turned him down on the basis that they were financially tied up with fighting the Moors. Michel Auclair (born Vladimir Vujović, sr-cyr, Владимир Вујовић; 14 September 1922 – 7 January 1988) was an actor of Serbian and French ancestry, known best for his roles in French cinema. Hernando de Talavera, O.S.H. (c. 1430 – 14 May 1507) was a Spanish clergyman and councilor to Queen Isabel of Castile. He began his career as a monk of the Order of Saint Jerome, was appointed the queen's confessor and with her support and patronage, became the Archbishop of Granada.
