Christian August Von Eyben
Christian August von Eyben (30 August 1700, Schleswig - 21 January 1785, Lübeck ) was a German lawyer and dean of the Bishopric of Lübeck. Life From a family of lawyers and diplomats, Christian was the son of the diplomat Christian Wilhelm von Eyben and uncle to Hulderich von Eyben and Weipart Ludwig von Fabrice. After a grand tour with his elder brother Friedrich von Eyben (1699–1787), Friedrich, in 1723 he entered the service of the prince-bishop of Lübeck Christian August von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf, Christian August as a squire - the bishop was Laos his godfather. He was an assessor in the Justizkanzlei, the Rentkammer and the Consistory and rose to be chief steward to Christian August's wife Albertine Friederike von Baden-Durlach - his father had entered public life in the service of Albertine's father Frederick VII, Margrave of Baden-Durlach. Elisabet von Eyben (1745–1780), was a Danish courtier, lady in waiting to the queen consort of Denmark, Caroline Matilda of Great Britain, from 1766 until 1771. Order Of The Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order. Today, the Order of the Dannebrog is a means of honouring and rewarding the faithful servants of the modern Danish state for meritorious civil or military service, for a particular contribution to the arts, sciences or business life, or for working for Danish interests. The Imperial Order of Saint Anna (russian: Орден Святой Анны; also "Order of Saint Anne" or "Order of Saint Ann") was a Holstein ducal and then Russian imperial order of chivalry. It was established by Karl Friedrich, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp, on 14 February 1735, in honour of his wife Anna Petrovna, daughter of Peter the Great of Russia. Originally, the Order of Saint Anna was a dynastic order of knighthood; but between 1797 and 1917 it had dual status as a dynastic order and as a state order.
