Chris Kenny
Chris Kevin Kenny (born 28 September 1962) is an Australian conservative political commentator, author and former political adviser. He is a columnist for ''The Australian'' newspaper as well as the host of a weeknight current affairs program, ''The Kenny Report'' on Sky News Australia. Early life and education Chris Kenny was born on 28 September 1962. He initially studied wildlife and park management in South Australia and worked for the National Parks and Wildlife Service as a fire-spotter and park assistant, before switching his studies to a BA in journalism in 1984. A pundit is a person who offers opinion in an authoritative manner on a particular subject area (typically politics, the social sciences, technology or sport), usually through the mass media. The term pundit describes both women and men, although a specific type of conservative female pundits have been described as pundette, in particular during the Clinton presidency. Robert Gerard Kerin (born 4 January 1954) is a former South Australian politician who was the Premier of South Australia from 22 October 2001 to 5 March 2002, representing the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia. He was also Deputy Premier of South Australia from 7 July 1998 until he became Premier and, after losing government, leader of the opposition until after the 2006 election. The series premiered on 5 July 2013 as an extension of the ''Paul Murray Live'' brand. The program is hosted by conservative journalist and commentator Chris Kenny. Godwin Grech is a former Australian Treasury official, best known for his role in the centre of the Utegate scandal in 2009. Grech grew up in Melbourne as the son of Maltese immigrants. After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Commerce degree, Grech moved to Canberra to join the Australian Public Service. His public service career was split between the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Treasury. For the most part, Grech was close to the policy action of the Howard and Rudd Governments, and had a reputation as being highly diligent and reliable. Utegate (also known as the OzCar affair) refers to a 2009 controversy in Australian federal politics, revolving around fabricated allegations made by then Federal Leader of the Opposition and Liberal leader, Malcolm Turnbull, that the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, and/or the Treasurer, Wayne Swan, had acted improperly on behalf of a Queensland car dealer who was seeking financial assistance from a government agency called OzCar, and that they had misled Parliament. Central to this claim was evidence by Treasury official Godwin Grech before a Senate inquiry in June 2009 that a Prime Ministerial adviser had emailed him asking for preferential treatment for the dealer. The station has a range of programs including news, sports, current affairs, social issues, football calls, gardening, lifestyle, cars, travel and health. It is owned by Nova Entertainment.
