General Chen Pao-yu (; born 1958) is a Republic of China Army General who currently serves as the Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces. Prior to his appointment, Chief of the Army Staff Taiwan from April 2019 to July 2021 and served as the Vice Chief (Executive) of the General Staff in April 2017 to 2019. Huang Shu-kuang
Huang Shu-kuang () is a Taiwanese admiral, who served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces after the decease of General Shen Yi-ming. Military career In the mid-2000s, Huang was the commander of the Republic of China Navy's submarine fleet. He next served as the ROCN's chief of staff. Huang then led the ROCN's Fleet Command. Soon after his appointment as commander of the Republic of China Navy, Huang, defense minister Feng Shih-kuan, and other military officers apologized for the killing of a dog on a military base. Soon after this incident, the Hsiung Feng III missile mishap occurred, followed by another round of apologies, during which he visited the home of Huang Wen-chung, the only victim of the incident, twice, first with Feng, and then with president Tsai Ing-wen. 2020 ROCAF UH-60M Crash
On 2 January 2020, a Black Hawk helicopter of the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) Air Rescue Group crashed in the Wulai District of New Taipei, Taiwan, while executing a VIP transport mission. General Shen Yi-ming, Republic of China's Chief of the General Staff (CGS), along with 7 other personnel on board, died in the crash. Crash The Black Hawk was taking off for a routine mission to visit service personnel in Dong'aoling Radar Station, Su'ao, Yilan county. The helicopter lost contact with Songshan Air Base at 8:07 AM, thirteen minutes after taking off and crashed into a mountainside. General Shen Yi-ming, Chief of the General Staff, was on board the helicopter along with seven other officers and a senior enlisted adviser from the General Staff Headquarters, Ministry of National Defense (MND-GSH), a military correspondent, and three crew members. Shen Yi-ming (; 30 March 1957 – 2 January 2020) was a Taiwanese military officer who served as a Republic of China Air Force general and the Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Minister of National Defense for Policy, and Commander of the ROC Air Force. On 2 January 2020, he was killed in a military helicopter crash while on a routine mission. Education Shen was born in Shilin, Taipei, Taiwan in 1957, with an ancestral home in Yixing, Wuxi, Jiangsu. Lee Hsi-ming (), also known as Lee Hsi-min, is an admiral of the Republic of China (Taiwan), now currently serves as the senior research fellow of the Project 2049 Institute at Washington, D.C. Kao Kuang-chi (; born 9 March 1950) is a Taiwanese politician. He was a retired admiral of the Republic of China Navy, and later entered the cabinet as Minister of National Defense from 2015 to 2016. He was the acting Minister of National Defense from 7 August 2013 after the sudden resignation of Defense Minister Andrew Yang, just six days after taking his office after the previous Defense Minister Kao Hua-chu's resignation due to the controversial death of Corporal Hung Chung-chiu.
