Chief Justice Of Bangladesh
The chief justice of Bangladesh ( bn, বাংলাদেশের প্রধান বিচারপতি — ) is the chief amongst the judges of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and also head of the whole judicial establishments, including subordinate courts. The chief justice is appointed by the president of Bangladesh. The chief justice sits in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court with other judges to hear and decide cases, presides over meetings of the full Supreme Court to transact business relating to administration of the court, and supervises the discipline of the judges and magistrates of the subordinate courts. Most rules for regulating the practice and procedure of both the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court (including subordinate courts) including those specified in certain legislative acts, such as the Companies Act 1994 and the Banking Companies Act 1991, are also duly scrutinized and approved in full court meetings presided over ... Badrul Haider Chowdhury
Badrul Haider Chowdhury (1 January 1925 – 14 February 1998) was the Chief Justice of Bangladesh from 1 December 1989 to 31 December 1989. Early life and education Chowdhury was born in Noakhali District of Bengal Presidency, in present-day Bangladesh in 1925 to Khan Bahadur Mohammed Gazi Chowdhury. In 1948, Chowdhury finished his graduate studies in the University of Kolkata and completed his law degree in 1951. In 1955, he was awarded bar-at-law degree from Lincoln's Inn of United Kingdom. Career From 1965 to 1971, Chowdhury practiced at the Dhaka High court. In 1pril 1971 he was made of Judge of Dhaka High Court. Zillur Rahman
Mohammed Zillur Rahman (9 March 1929 – 20 March 2013) was the President of Bangladesh from 2009 to 2013. He was also a senior presidium member of the Awami League. He is the third president of Bangladesh, after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Ziaur Rahman, to die in office, while being the first to die of natural causes. M. M. Ruhul Amin (23 December 1942 – 17 January 2017) was a Bangladeshi jurist who served as the 16th Chief Justice of Bangladesh. Education Amin earned his master's in history in 1963 and LLB in 1966 from the University of Dhaka. Career Amin joined the judicial service in 1967 and became a district judge in 1984. Iajuddin Ahmed
Iajuddin Ahmed (1 February 193110 December 2012) was the President of Bangladesh, serving from 6 September 2002 until 12 February 2009. From late October 2006 to January 2007, he also served as Chief Advisor of the caretaker government. From October 2006 to early 2008, his responsibilities as president included the Defense Ministry of the caretaker government. With a doctorate in soil science, Ahmed became a full professor at the University of Dhaka and chairman of the department. Latifur Rahman
Latifur Rahman (1 March 1936 – 6 June 2017) was the 10th Chief Justice and the 2nd Chief Adviser of Bangladesh. Early life and education Rahman was born in Jessore on 1 March 1936. His father was the lawyer Khan Bahadur Lutfur Rahman. His maternal uncle Nurul Huda served as a High Court judge. He earned his master's in English literature at the University of Dhaka in 1956 and later completed his bachelor's in law from the same university. He served as a faculty member of Shahid Suhrawardy College. Career Rahman started his lawyer career with the Dhaka High Court membership in 1960. Abdur Rahman Biswas (1 September 1926 – 3 November 2017) was a Bangladeshi politician. He was the President of Bangladesh from 1991 to 1996.
