Chemnitz Tramway
The Chemnitz tramway network (german: Straßenbahnnetz Chemnitz) is a network of tramways forming the centrepiece of the public transport system in Chemnitz, a city in the federal state of Saxony, Germany. Opened in 1880 as a horsecar system, the network was converted to an electrically powered system between 1893 and 1898. The network's gauge, originally , was widened to by the outbreak of World War I. From the 1950s, the gauge was widened further, to , although the gauge conversion work was not completed until as late as 1988. The infrastructure is currently operated by the (CVAG), and services are operated by them and City-Bahn Chemnitz. The system is integrated in the Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS). The city used Czechoslovak Tatra T3 trams (''Tatra T3D'' and ''Tatra B3D'') from 1969 until they were all decommissioned by 2019. Some were sold to Kazakhstan and Russia. Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof
Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in Chemnitz in Germany. Station building The station has a combination of terminating and through platforms. Platform tracks 5 to 9 terminate and tracks 1 to 4 and 10 to 14 continue to the west of Chemnitz towards Zwickau, Nuremberg and Göttingen. Tracks 11 to 14 are reached by a passenger subway. The subway also passes under tracks 15 and 16, which have no platforms. The platforms are also accessible by lift. From 15 December 2002 until 17 February 2013, "Chemnitz model" tram-trains of the City-Bahn Chemnitz operated from platform 102 (a tram track) in the station forecourt. The tram-train services now use platforms 1 to 4. Bus lines 23 (Heinersdorf–Neefepark) and 32 (Dresdner Str–Rabenstein, Tierpark), tram lines 2 (Hauptbahnhof–Bernsdorf) and 6 (Hauptbahnhof–Altchemnitz) and the City-Bahn line to Stollberg connect the Hauptbahnhof to the central tram station in central Chemnitz. World War I

Gablenz is a neighborhood in the southeastern part of the German city of Chemnitz in the state of Saxony. Škoda 35 T (also known as Škoda ForCity Classic Chemnitz) is a five carbody section low-floor bi-directional tram, developed by Škoda Transportation for Chemnitz. The low-floor area of the fully airconditioned tram represents 100% of the entire vehicle floor. Chemnitzer Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft ordered 14 units in June 2016. All trams were delivered from December 2018 to April 2020. Stadler Variobahn
The Stadler Variobahn (formerly sold as the ABB Variotram, Adtranz Variotram and Bombardier Variotram) is a German-designed model of articulated low-floor tram and light rail vehicle. Since its introduction in 1993, the Variobahn has been manufactured variously by ABB, Adtranz, Bombardier Transportation, and since 2001 by Stadler Rail. As of 2009, 254 trams have been ordered, with an additional 110 on option. A unit costs about €2.5 million.
