Charlottenlund station is a commuter station serving the suburb of Charlottenlund north of Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as the nearby Charlottenlund Beach Park and the Charlottenlund Racetrack. Charlottenlund
Charlottenlund is a suburban area on the coast north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the administrative seat of Gentofte Municipality. Bordered to the east by the Øresund, to the South by Hellerup and to the north by Klampenborg, it is one of the wealthiest areas in Denmark. The neighbourhood takes its name after Charlottenlund Palace. History In 1733, King Christian VI of Denmark rebuilt the Gyldenlund Palace, renaming it Charlottenlund Palace after his sister Princess Charlotte Amalie. The stations are located on six suburban radial routes - A, B, Bx, C, E, H, and a ring line ( F). Forty-six are elevated, twenty-one are street level, fifteen are below street, four have different levels and one is underground. Charlottenlund Palace
Charlottenlund Palace ( da, Charlottenlund Slot) is a former royal summer residence in Charlottenlund, some north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The palace was named after Princess Charlotte Amalie, who was responsible for the construction of the original palace. It was later extended and adapted for Crown Prince Frederick VIII to a design by Ferdinand Meldahl in the early 1880s. From 1935 to 2017, the building has housed the Danish Biological Station (''Dansk Biologisk Station''), later renamed Danish Fishery Survey and in the final years called DTU Aqua. It is now a cultural event venue. The Great Hall is occasionally used for classical concerts. F (S-train)
F is the service designation for trains on the ring line of Copenhagen's S-train network. It runs from about 05:00 to 01:00 from Ny Ellebjerg to Hellerup. Trains run every 5 minutes between about 7:00 and 19:00, Monday through Friday, and every 10 minutes on weekends, early mornings and late evenings/nights. On Friday and Saturday nights there is also a 30 minutes service throughout the night. In 2024 this line is planned to become driverless and with 24/7 service model. C (S-train)
C is a service on the S-train network in Copenhagen. It serves the Klampenborg radial and the inner part of the Frederikssund radial, and also reinforces service on the outer part of the Frederikssund radial in high-traffic period. Service C is one of the base services on the network, running between Ballerup and Klampenborg every 20 minutes from about 5:00 to 1:00 every day. Between about 6:00 to 19:00 on Monday to Saturday it runs every 10 minutes, and in this period half of the trains continue from Ballerup to Frederikssund. On Friday and Saturday nights there is also a 30 minutes service throughout the night. Klampenborgbanen
Klampenborgbanen is the shortest (13.3 km from København H) of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen. It runs parallel to the Kystbanen regional line from central Copenhagen until Klampenborg, and serves residential neighbourhoods in eastern Gentofte as well as popular recreational destinations at Klampenborg such as Dyrehavsbakken and Jægersborg Dyrehave. Charlottenlund Beach Park
Charlottenlund Beach Park ( Danish: Charlottenlund Strand Strandpark) is a seaside public park in Charlottenlund, Gentofte Municipality, in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. The area consists of a white sandy beach and extensive lawns, surrounding Charlottenlund Fort. History The park's history as a green space dates back to 1622 when King Christian IV established "Gentofte Deer Park by the Beach" (''Gentofte Dyrehave ved Stranden''). The area later came under ”Gyldenlund”, what is now called Charlottenlund Slot. In 1886 the southern part of the area was ceded to the Ministry of Defence when Charlottenlund Fort as part of Copenhagen's new defense towards the sea. The area to the north was leased to Frederick VIII who leveled it and used it as a vegetable garden. The area came into use as a public beach park in 1932. Charlottenlund Racetrack ( da, Charlottenlund Travbane) is a harness racing track in the town of Charlottenlund in the Capital Region of Denmark.
